Play time is over in corbet .check the new reg and rules.if your out there off the trail you have to be hunting.if not then there are big fines and tickets.so no more messing around .If your not hunting then don't go out there.fwc and pbso said there are going to make examples of people playing out there big time.

also atvs have never bin allowed in corbett. i live 3 blocks from the gates of corbett and i have 3 4x4 atvs in my garage.i would hope they never let them in corbett because of the trouble they cause.i would love to go ride and hunt with my atvs out there .but then the place would get trashed.so my point is i would really like to pull from yard to go ride corbett but so would all the but heads.so i loose out to,but im fine with that if it means this place will stay somewhat nice and quiet.

also if you must know. i do own corbett.me and the many thousands of others hunters.the  that state of Florida bought it for us.and we in return as a group support almost all of the funds to maintain and keep it around.we use it for what it was created for.we spend millions and billions of  dollars to enjoy our sport.what do you spend?what do you do to help our wma system?we do everything.you dont do sh!t.oh ya you pick up some trash once a year if you go to the corbet clean up.but you just picking you own trash.iand i bet almost nobody that's bitching has ever helped.

you can fish.just dont go off the grade or trail 6 or the tomota field grade,or the l-8 .you can go there anytime you want.theres nowhere else to fish other than  those areas for the most part  .  those areas and you are alowed there year around.if jeeps and trucks and utv's are so much better than buggys than why are they being banned and not buggys?we the buggy owners are nothing special.so aparantly they do less damage.like i said before just look at holylands .buggys there since in day 1 decads ago.a few years with atv and the place is trashed.so if your point is everybody but the hunters are the good guys than your a dumb ass.all i care about are keeping these places open.and when the day comes they ban buggies in corbett.i will sell mine and keep hunting.but as long as they just stop all the jack bags from tearing it up with trucks.jeeps,utv's for now i think its great.go pay to tear up some privete land somewhare these are hunting areas not l-cross or river ranch.

just remember my couple of hundred dollars in license and permits every year (and 40000 of other hunters) to hunt in Florida are what keeps these places open.not you buying a single management are stamp.and the 900 hp buggy ripping up corbett i think you mistaking for l croos.i  have hunted there my whole life and the real pretty gofast buggys dont get dirty to often.

I have talked with game and fish about this  several times.I'm out there almost every weekend and and do volunteer work out there sometimes.they said its up to the discretion of the officer if they think your not hunting or not.he said there  not dumb asses .so if you not really a hunter and hunting they said there there issuing citations.no more off roading unless your hunting.no more jeep clubs  or mud trucks or utv's.just buggy's and hunters.(about time)!!!!!!!!!! i know you can still hunt in a jeep ,utv or truck, but if you know Corbett then you know your not getting anywhere unless you can go thru 4 or 5 foot of water.so play time is over out there .thats a good thing because all these wma's are for hunting not off roading and mud bogs.dont get me wrong we have fun on the buggys but the trucks and utv's just tear everything up.

i dont know how many people went to holylands in the last 20 years ,but i hunted it every weekend until the atv craze happend.anybody that says it looked like it does now 10 years ago never went there before they started riding atvs all the time out there.if your going to sit ther and say that .then your one of the puds that trashed the place.

yes you need all hunting permits.and there not stupid.if your just riding out there they will probly give you a tickit.and for the people that say how do they know your not hunting or scouting,trust me thay can tell.

im glad my tax dollors go for fwc to help out people messing around where there not supposed to be.its turkey season out there right now.when i was out there hunting last year i was off the grade 50 feet under the power lines and got a 100$ ticket.i cant wait till they ban side by sides in corbet(its gonna be real soon)fwc says to many people tearing up and speeding down the trails.there has bin some meetings but there going to make a ruling real soon to not allow them out there,just like they did atvs at holylands.its a hunting area not L,cross.go play somewhere else and let people hunt.

i have a 17 foot lowe with a 70hp johnson,but its a rivted one from 97.it it great shape.

big cypress is a joke now with the limitation of trails. the  jeep boys stay on the trails in corbet ,and i have had to pull many of them out when the go under water with there big 33 inch tires     :Dlol.the problem is these places are W.M.A wildlife management area. a.k.a hunting area Not ORV parks .look at holy lands the place got beat down to nothing the hunting sucked and they closed it to joy riding.as soon as the corbett area starts to get affected they will do the same thing.i have two 4x4 atvs and live 2 blocks form corbett,but im glad they dont allow them in there.its a hunting area not a play ground.

i guess what he meant was look at holy lands and look at corbet.now that hunting season is over in 2 months the place will look fine again.constant use of utvs will just make it another holy lands.and i would rather have them not allow utvs out there then have it treashed like holy lands. buggys have bin out there for 50 years and everything is fine. a couple years of utvs and i see bad things coming.its a good hunting area and i hope it stays that way.not turn into a play ground.

i heard from a fwc officer they are going end the use of utvs at corbet because every body is making new trails because they cant run the deep water on the trails already there.and  alot of people are going way to fast on the main grade and the trails.it kinda sucks i was going to sell my buggy and get one,but not now

just put a sm465 gm manual tranny after the auto tranny and you will have all the gearing you want.

i have the 2400 watt yamaha that i put in my front seat when i take it (only 60 lbs).it  runs a 13.5k all day long.

i own land out there and have not bin back in a while.last time i was there the sheriff gave me a hard time.that was last year.so i imagine there only getting worse like other places.

i have bin saying this for years.wma,s are mainly ment to be used for hunting.over the last few years they where trying to make some more money and get nature freaks and bird watchers and who elseto start useing them.they never intended these plases to get over run with ATVs like ants .just a few months ago everybody was talking about only riding at night during hunting season.well i said it then also .THAT DONT WORK.if someone is going hunting on a WILD LIFE MAGAMNET AREa they are going to get there at 4 am at the latest.so if someone is out riding around there hunting area. they are not going to have a good hunt.atvs already have a enough people that don't like us,but when your pissing off all the huntetrs.all they are doing is putting heat on FWC about why is there hunting area being overrun so they cant evan hunt.i know most of you dont hunt,but i do.so i can see why the place got shut down.everybody tried to turn into a OHV PARK.ITS NOT.but im sure someone is going to come on here and they have a right to ride.they always do. also the buggys and tracks have bin out there 75 years and it was fine before the ATVs came along.i know this because i hunted holylands back in the 90,s .is was very nice.now go take a look.look at from google earth.this is not from the buggys and tracks .its all about the atvs.now i hunt corbet from my buggy.its only a matter of time before they shut corbet down and make it a drive in only wma.what i mean is no off roading.i heard from pbso that the wheels are already in progess.but its the same thing.we go out there get in our stands at 4 am and by 7 am i have all kinds of peoples joy riding on utvs and trucks and buggys.and then theres the kids out there tearing it up.so im sure there's enough people complaining about its only a matter of time.

im looking at buying a 1999 polaris sportsman 500.i have a 1997 and its a piece of junk.i was looking at putting some money in so ia can use it again.wife wants to ride the new grizzly.but after pricing alot of the stuff .the 1999 sportsman dont sound like a bad deal.can anyone tell if the 1999 is better then the 1997.any help or advice would be great.
