we will be running our race series along side with the Mini- Micro  sprints

the race would be after the sprints run ,Bill said they should be done by 6 or 7.
 its 3 day event for the sprints, they are having practice on Fri, racing on sat and sun.
our series starts in March racing the 2nd and 4th sat each month.

Southern Dirt Track Association Banquet !!!!!!!

now we should have a great surface to race on !
the Sprints like a harder track ,and they leave some rubber down !!

we had some good racing last Saturday even with the lower than expected turnout !
Racing was clean, fast and with no injuries or major breakdowns ,although we almost didn't make the main because of the starter relay contacts failing !!
unfortunately  Jonathan H. had an electrical gremlin and didn't want to risk any other problems so he packed it up early and missed both mains !

as everyone discussed TT track is going to need some work again ,i'll get with Bill and see what we can figure out !

Racing schedule resumes end of August

well that stinks you guys won't make it.
but I know where your coming from ,were going out in the gulf this weekend so things will be tight next weekend, but it's easier for us, being we are so close to the track !
you guys plan on running Jasper when it comes up on the schedule, at least it's a little closer to ya , well make the trip !
what's your passing defense , you going to turn that 500 into two, 250's and block all the groove ?
I'm looking forward to seeing you get the Saber dialed in, it's going to be a handful !

just spoke with Bill he said we are going to have a MCS TT race June 2nd !!

he moved the MCS TT race from the 23rd to the 2nd ,that way we don't have back to back race weeks (16th & 23rd).
the bikes are going to Illinois 6/2/12  so they canceled the SDTA  FT - TT race.
we still have the SDTA FT - TT race on the 16th , but the MCS TT race was cancelled for the  23rd !!

get them machines prepped !!

There was some great racing Saturday , it was good to see the Palatka group , and Sinn and his group ,made for some good racing ,everybody did a great job.

Derek you and Jon where on a tear ,just smoking thru there !

where was -  Main, Rice, Doherty, Brunt, Swartz and Knoop ?

W.T.H  was with all the brake problems  at least 3 riders had trouble with their brakes, you guys sharing a contaminated can of brake fluid  !?!?!?

moving the line back is a good idea , then you wouldn't have to start in the loam from everyone slinging clay coming back onto the front straight.

and I also don't like the changed format ,we didn't save any time, we still ran TWO separate heats , and it also takes away another chance to recover a decent spot on the line if you happen to get wrecked or have machine problems in your heat !

if we ran two 6 lap heats and a 10 lap main for TT ,and two 8 lap heats and 12 lap main for FT it would work fine ,also getting started on time and maybe earlier would be a huge gain !
I didn't hear anyone that liked the new format, even the bike guys !!

I spoke with Ward and Bill about the corner worker and the flag man staying out of the way, they will get it straight.

as far as the track conditions concerning the water ,all we need to do is ask, Bill will make it right ,we just need to be more proactive letting them know what we want, before it's too late.

It was a great night, clean , fast ,competitive  ,and fun to watch , just wish I had recorded it  !!

Hey Derek , the Bullring is  MCS , the above info was taken from the MCS home page.
I spoke with Shawn M , and Scott K. , from what I gathered, they are separating the racing groups because of time - space/parking constraints.
the 19th is our day and the 26th is for all the sprints, all are welcome to attend both days but the racing will be separated.
if I hear of any changes ,Ill post it up !
