And yet another intelligent post-

Hey Sbripple-I know this is a public forum and we are all assumed to be adults; well the BIG people need to talk for a while.  Now go back to your sandbox and play nice with the other kids; we will call you when it is time to come back in!

I guess nike sponsers them, a bunch of surf, skateboarders, BMX'rs and narley snowboarding dudes.  They even have thier own website with pics of building that car!  It has been well traveled, from SanFran all the way to here and all stops in between.  Pretty cool!   They call the car the Seagle..........

I may get flamed BIG time for this but here it goes.

No, I do not live in PB County but I have read many posts from the Deputy over the last year.  His posts have always been informative and never seems he is out to get us; as I read it this guy is only trying to give a "fair warning".  I am sure he is not looking for all the grief we give him, he is only "doing his job" and not earning free donuts doing it!  I can always sympathize with riding problems, we have the same idiots here in Deltona that rip up and down city streets and make us all look bad.

7  General / Where to Ride? / Re: Requirements to ride in the Ocala National Forest on: April 06, 2007, 04:55:38 PM
Hey Grizz, what is the penalty if you DO NOT have this with you?  It is a fine, do they send you home, a warning?

8  General / Open Discussion / Re: wireless internet help... on: April 05, 2007, 08:15:55 AM
This is assuming you do have a router at home with a cable modem/DSL modem plugged into the WAN/Internet port....

1) Are you broadcasting your SSID?
2) Do you have the wireless router secured with WEP?
3) Do you have turned DHCP on?
4) What happens when you plug the laptop directly into the modem and can you get internet access?
5) Have you tried resetting your router back to defaults?

Just shooting in the dark here, but that is where I would start.

Ida-the Sunoco on 17/92 in Orange City/Debary does not carry it anymore?  The last I heard you could still get race gas there.

Nice pics guys-I went to the Orange Crush last year (was on a friends property) and had a blast!  It was a treat to tour all the pro pits, see the vendors and all the different class of riders.  I stil my g/f about being all over Brandon and Bill's new shiney YFZ's-she was almost sitting on them and the crew was real cool about it.  I have rode out on that course a few times since the GNCC last year and it is a very tough challenging ride and I give it anyone that can finish that race!

Geez, there is the second intelligent post I have read from you this morning.  Why come to a forum where most members spent all this effort and time to shine a positive light on what we do and look for legal riding spots?  It is riders like you that make it difficult for all of us-I suggest you grow up and go play in someone else's sandbox.
13  General / Open Discussion / Re: Another ATV accident at Big Scrub on: February 04, 2007, 07:33:38 PM
Julio-very sorry to hear it-very dis-heartning.  Prayers go out to you and his family and friends.
14  General / Open Discussion / Re: RIDING OFF 19 on: January 22, 2007, 07:55:25 AM
Do you mean the same road that Big Scrub is on (573), where everyone parked about 1/4 mile in on the left?  If that is the case, we were warned back before the holidays about not riding/parking there and shutting it down. I also hear that parking is now restricted off 445 too.
15  General / Open Discussion / Re: mechanic on: January 13, 2007, 07:47:34 AM
Jonny, I have a guy up here in Osteen-he is good, reasonable and trust worthy. The only person I will "let" work on my bike-PM me if you are interested.

17  General / Where to Ride? / Re: ATTN: Ocala riders on: November 06, 2006, 07:00:31 PM
Chris, they were not clear on what "Big Scrub" was or were the boundries are-honestly I was more interested in what they were saying about 445 and wandering wiregrass.  As far as 445 goes I am talking about the side where the trail head is-you are no longer allowed on the other side of 445 or the powelines on with side of 19.  The two rangers that were there did not say anything about the second phase not being complete-in their mind the trail system is done.  The older lady kept making comments about some paperwork being signed and now it was time for enforcement, it looked she was enjoying to much to me!  Evil

I am only passing on what they told me, we would have stopped at the ranger station for clarifaction but it looked like it was closed.
18  General / Where to Ride? / ATTN: Ocala riders on: November 06, 2006, 04:43:11 PM
Just an FYI folks.......

My buddy and I were riding out at 445 in Ocala this Sunday and the rangers were flagging everyone down that was on an ATV.  there were  handing out maps for the new "marked trails" and informing us that  we are NO LONGER allowed off the new marked trails and everything is closed except for Big Scrub and of couse the new marked trails.  They also said the equipment is on order to groom the trails and that bathrooms and a parking lot were in the works for the wandering wiregrass trails.  They will have a two-three week grace period and then tickets will be issued.  This means no more parking "just off 573"-no more riding on the other side of 445 or 19.  I told them I would pass this along so no one ends up getting a caught with their pants down with a ticket.  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I new this would come soon after the implementation of the new trail system.

Hey Mudd, I saw Chillin leave in his truck-after our conversation about F-250's I was sooooo jealous.  Sweet rides boys-hopefully I can join the 250 club one day.  For now I will settle with my F150 FX4-at least it is 4X4.   Tongue
21  General / Where to Ride? / Re: ONFA Ride Pics on: October 06, 2006, 07:26:49 AM
Geez only if I was paying attention in the pic-I am the dumb azz walking away from the group!  The other rider was my girlfriend Terry-she does not post but she loves to ride just as much as I do.  Thanks for taking us along Mr Bones, was a nice way to wrap up the day!
22  General / Open Discussion / Re: xc/gncc/cross country/hars scramble setup. on: October 01, 2006, 11:17:07 PM
I have rode the Orange Crush GNCC track several times and wide is not what you want. I ended up going with GT Thunders' after getting my a$$ kicked every weekend, best money I have spent yet. I also went with the GNCC's, they track great and dig in-that is what I was looking for. I do not like nerfs-I  bought the IMS Pegs & Heel Guards, no more slipp'n of the pegs but after getting your foot run over a few times, some would opt for nerfs.  With the IMS package you can always add nerfs later.

I agree with Chill'n-try a few tracks/hard X Trails or local hare scrambles on your stock bike.  Then add if you need to-I thought I was on the mac daddy at first-then I got tired of being sore all the time, feet slipping of the pegs and tires not digg'n in.
23  General / Open Discussion / Re: Had to pull the shoutbox....:(( on: October 01, 2006, 11:05:10 PM
Thank god for Mr.Bones!  That is two times he has saved the day, one with that trusty GPS (it was really cool-I need to get one of those) and for the site being here today!

On a serious note-If I did not thank you for the site the other day, I appreacaite having it and I know how much work and an expense it can be.

QT-what a great guess on the nick.....it is Mr.Tripyn but close enough! (long story on the nick-too much LSD in school-HA!)  Roll Eyes
24  General / Open Discussion / Re: 450r or yfz? on: October 01, 2006, 10:52:25 PM
It is all a matter of what you like.  Both bikes are fast, handle well and are rock solid on the track.  I have an 06' 450R with a pipe, cam, jetted (more or less the HRC kit) and I run neck and neck with a modded YFZ.  The only trouble I have had is the starter issue and that was right out of the box.  They fixed it and it has run great since and I ride the pizz out of it every weekend. My recommendation is to try both before you buy, I rode my buddies YFZ before and did not like it.  I rode an R and loved it. Good luck with your purchase!
25  General / Where to Ride? / Re: I think it was a success on: October 01, 2006, 10:22:02 PM
First, I would like to thank Grizz for putting this all together and the time he put into it!

Terry and I had a good time too-was nice to meet Mr. Bones, Chillin, Sleezy, QT and MudFreak.  I agree with Chino; Brian (Remmiants) and I were both hurt'n after that first ride-I think the slow WHOOPS killed us.  On the flip side with a real back doc on hand we should have taken advantage of it, she even had ice boys!  Hey, we even may have got that great personal greeting like Chino too!  I am not sure if my girlfriend may have  something to say about it, but anytime I have back pain after a ride I am calling you QT!  Smiley

Hopefully we can hook up for another  group ride; just on smaller scale next time.  Camping at Delancy looked like it would be cool, beer, good fire, and marshmellows-what more do you need?
