General / Racing Scene / Re: Question about injury prevention

The best peice of safety equipment is our mind.We see alot of riders who are getting faster on the bike but not in their heads and this is the reason that we as parents/helpers/friends need to make sure that we keep their minds ready for any possible situation we can prepare them for...and if it has already been said it needs to be 100 more times-GET A LEATT DEVICE_IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!

Well, We did not forget but forgot to mention Jackie, but she is in our thoughts as much as Sam is.The girls really stepped up their game and as i told Sam and Jackie when they were their if it were not for their good skills as riders the injuries would have been worse. We all have to remember as we get better their will be bumps in the road to remind us how important it is to remain at the top of our game in our head as well as on the bike.We all love these girls and wish them the fastest and healthiest recovery we can.Patty and Ken-no need to thank me-no matter what i will always bethere and keeping an eye out for the girls,i have watched them get better and better and enjoy every minute of it,they are great girls and are a big part of our local racers and deserve alot of credit for what they have accomplished on and off to the side of the track.....
hey Jackie- How old are you? Where do you Live? What school do you goto? Love Ya (hahahaha)

General / Racing Scene / Leatt Device-IT WORKS! ! ! ! !
|
on: February 01, 2008, 10:03:57 AM
|
Hey everyone, Toby here,i just wanted to get on here and address the couple of accidents we have had recently(Alan Molony,Samantha Cheetham.....and ect.).including Jake this year we have had some very close calls and i have witnessed them and have had doctors as well as riders and onlookers notice that this device has done more in these last 3 crashes then anything else.Everyone should have one on them when they ride, this device has made the difference more than once as to serious and not so serious injury. This device is expensive, but,is the same price for everyone-Nobody gets a discount-You need to call WFO Kawasaki,Pasco County Cycles and Trick Threadz to get one and put on your rider-It will save Their LIFE ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
The Leatt Club-youth or adult size-399.99 The Leatt Sport-youth or adult-599.99 Leatt Pro-youth or adult-999.99
the difference is the carbon fiber and weight( the club is the most affordable and has worked everytime!!!!)
I know this item is expensive but when you think about eveything else you buy that might not be as important that is the same price it is not a hard desicion.I am pushing for this to be mandatory for next year's SSQSA and it should be as mandatory at every track as the helmet and killswitch are ! If anyone has any questions about fitting or anything else about the LEATT call me-7274589403
Ambulance ride-5000.00 medical expense-10000.00 ++++++ LEATT DEVICE-500.00
Your rider walking off the track-P R I C E L E S S ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
thanks for letting me vent and Ramble, Toby #53'dad

Everyone who has dealt with and those who have not.....Alba is on the front lines of the Fires in Cal..They are located in Poway,Ca. and are shut down at this point.I have not talked to anyone from there yet to find out if they are in the line of the fires or just down for the families who work there. As soon as i can i will let you all know.Alba has been a big part of the Quad racing across the country and make some really good parts for all of us so i hope if you are looking for a new part you can hold out and buy it from Alba when they reopen to help get them back on track. They are going to be sponsoring the winter series for the SSQSA and could probaly use the help when they reopen. Thanks to everyone in advance and hope we never have to deal with the fires and situations they are dealling with and pray for all of the famillies involved to get back to their homes safely with out damage........
Thanks again, Toby #53's Dad

We went to see Woody last night and he seems in great spirits(not sure if it is the vicadin or not,LOL)and found out that it looks like he will not need the plate in his hip.The doctors think at this point that his body will heel up fine and he will be down for about 3 months.Keep those prayers coming they seem to be working fine.
Glad to see you in good spirits Woody, get well quickly.... Toby #53's Dad

I would like to give a big thanks to our mechanic Steve from N-Motion Performance in St Pete.He has been there when we have really needed him and has done alot to get us to our races.Steve,Jake and I spent alot of time trying to get our stock motor back up all last week for the SSQSA in Live Oak.The motor ran great and was as strong as we needed it to be..Steve has been behind us all the way and we can't say enough about how hard he works on Jake's and other rider's bikes to keep them going..
Thanks Steve, Toby #53's Dad P.S.we will have to check our brake rotors from now on...... ;)LOL

General / Open Discussion / Re: Alba, their pipes, and my situation...
|
on: July 03, 2007, 05:46:06 PM

Rob, I just pm'd you with some info,as for everyone else-remember this is a big company and they get alot of people who claim the product is bad and then show pics and then send something totally different and expect to get new product for stuff they did not take care of or use the correct way. These pipes are made to use on the track and if you are taking care of your bike these things do not happen for the most part, but, some things do happen and this is when you see what kind of company you are dealling with.As for ALBA,we have been dealling with them since about 3 years ago and we have had our own situations with some products but as long as we could send in the part and let them see what happened they have always(even before we were sponsored by them)made sure to make it right!!!!Alba has made sure that we are always running and has always found a way to get us the right product at the right time with the best quality-some things get by and they WILL take care of it if they see it is not rider error but product error..I will tell everyone that if you call Kevin or any of the other parts personel or even The owner himself(Corey) you will get nothing but experienced and helpful, caring atv'rs who will get things moving the way they should.I know guys, this sounds like a corporate commercial, but,in all of my deallings with ALBA i have never been let down and when i call i know i am speaking with someone who knows what an ATV is.
Thanks for listening and they are working on Rob's situation as we speak, Toby

General / Open Discussion / Re: Awesome Day With My Dad...
|

I think you guys are right, his dad is being a little selfish right now, but,i think the best comment is to when you have your own family you make sure that you make your children your first priority.I went through the same thing with my dad and his girrlfreinds and their family-now i spend every bit of time i can with my son because i do not want him to grow up hating me as mmuch as i was mad at my dad.We have since cleared things up and we can talk now and i think he realizes the problem though he is not rready to fix or own up to asll of it yet, pparents are not perfect and some of the thingss that the kids do not see their family stressing overr to make surre you cxan ride, eat and get dressed underr the same roof every day can take a tole and you might feel like being selfish for a little while!
Just my 2 cents and hope it helps,i am damn pproud of my son and would not change anything at all!!!
