For sure man, if yall come were there! 2 250's? Thats a great idea! I didnt even think of that, my plan was to put down the 80hp thunder but i like your idea better..... Seriously though, learing to be extra carefull in the TT section is gonna be the trick. I think i can handle it. I did get a much smaller carb. for it though so the power should be smoother than ever. I also ditched that v force reed valve for an oem arctic cat valve. Carbon fiber reeds are a joke! Thats why it was running so bad last time you saw it, reeds were broken after only 4-5 races.

Yes, the turn out was good but it could be better so come on guys, pull you bikes out and come check out the TT scene! The 1 heat thing is to save time only..... i believe they were just trying it out to see how it goes. As fas as water goes they have to be SUPER carefull with that track! It will go from dusty to mud with one wrong move so sometimes its good and others not as good. Imo thats just part of that tracks charm and you must be a diverse racer to deal with it, just makes it interesting!
As far as the flag man goes, PLEASE dont stand on the track. We almost had a bill mcleary repeat!!!! Lets keep it safe people! The race track is for racing only, not for standing....
Hope to see some new faces at the next race!

Decided to impose life rule #3: "Never argue with an idiot". Also when posts directed at me include profanity I really have no desire to continue the conversation. Since actions are louder than words I will do all my talking on the track. Gotcha, sounds like you have some beef with cabana... Which poses a question, Are you gonna start running the open class (assuming their is one) or continue to run the vet. class? Only reason i ask is the next event is OMS only and their was 2 classes then where we only had 1 class with the SDTA.

I expect to get some holeshots though! Anbody else been workin on thier bike?

It was an awesome race though, maybe next time i can be out there with yall...... So, now that everyone has said what they need to say, lets move on... Got my jack move? Im free on fridsy night.....

OK guys, now that everyone has said what they need to say, i think we should move on and work out our problems with the SDTA. I spoke with both shawn and ward from sdta on saturday, filled them in on all of our concerns or at least the ones i know about. Shawn IS willing to work with us quad guys and would like us to squash all the beef and work oit our issues for the good of quad racing in florida .Bill from mcs is not going to start a series or anything of that sort. He wants to be a track owner only so we should respect this.
My point is the sdta is the only quad TT/ FT league and the only way were going to have s place to race is to stick with the sdta. So please, for the good of quad racing in florids, lets work all this out!
I am starting a new thread so we can discuss concerns/ suggestiins you may have. For those that do not know me, my name is derek, i have been racing with this league since 2005 and been racing quads since 97. Shawn wants me to be the quad " moderator" and i guess if no one has an issue with that i am willing....

For the record, i was lied to. I told you face to face shawn and all i got was an " i dont care look" and this was my last sdta event. I must say you make it sound like everyone just quit and thats not the case at all, shawn has even told me that he dont like the quads! So its funny how shawn pipes up now and says its all good but NEVER contacted me to ask what the deal is. The only reason i never called you shawn is i didnt think you cared! Was i wrong? If so you fooled me..... anyone can ask any of the hardcore quad racers what happened, if their man enough they will say the same thing! The thing is you can only crap on a man so many time before he gets tired of it and gets out from under the crapie. Shawn, you really wanna make this right? Call me.... 229-873-5010

LOL SDTA is not a quad racing orginization. Motorcycles rule with them. No big deal..... unless you like racing slow tracks. I vote bill at ocala micro speedway just runs a TT series! He seems to care about us quad guys and all it takes is a man like bill to spark the interest. which in turns allows people to have fun which makes the riders tell their frineds and then they tell their friends and so on.... next thing you know their will be a crowd of racers and some awesome racing. I have seen this happen many times in quad racing.... we just need that spark! The SDTA killed it and quad racing slowly died. This is our chance guys! Lets be there and support bill !!

I do have one suggestion... instead of starting with a flag drop i would like to use the red light, green light like we do in flattrack. I watched the video and nobody was leaving at the same time. Too much grey area with the flag drop. Green light makes it fair for everyone. Either its green or its not....
I DO like the starts further back... that was perfect. Gives a chance for everyone to spread out before turn one instead of bunching up. As far as the jump goes i kinda liked it. To me having a track that requires finess and timing is cooler than one you just hold it wide open. I vote leave the jump like it is but i may be out voted there....
Thanks again bill....!

I been there a few times. The tracks are usualy in crappy condition. One time it rained alot and he put wood mulch to cover up the water holes which was too funny, as if that as gnna help. The main track had huge rain ruts in it so i asked if he had groomed it lately, he told m 5 days ago. That tells me right there that his idea of a "groomed track" is maybe kicking some of the huge rocks off it. I usually dont care if the owners are nice, i didnt come for them. Just came to ride. Last time i was there the tracks were sooo bad it was no fun even on my dirtbike! Havent been back in 2 years and not planing on it. Now, i will say that if you are going to go, The best time is when they are having a race.
