1  General / Where to Ride? / Cape Coral Mud Park on: March 21, 2010, 12:26:51 PM
Whats the story with this?  anyone know any details?  I have seen sheets around town asking you to sign if you would be interested in a mud park opening in Cape Coral.  Anyone know who is behind it or the location?

Charlotte / Lee County line.  Saturday was not real busy.  This is a great place to take the kids to ride.  Sundays afternoons are busier.

I was at the campground Thanksgiving weekend.  If you have a sport bike than this is not a place for you.  For Utility ATV's and people who like to get into a little mud it is OK.  Also, I agree it is good for kids due to the speed limit and the guys who actively patrol "with radar".  Yes "radar".  My daughter was got exceeding the limit and lost her riding privledge for the day.  Her fault.  She knew the rules.
They have a few mud holes which people gather at.  We spend some time there and also play in the river and look for shark teeth.  People in our group found teeth one inch and bigger.  It is a relaxing way to spend some time.

I have reservations to stay at Big Scrub in Feb.  It will be my first time to Ocala.  With all the negative posts about closures, it makes me wonder if I SHOULD EVEN MAKE THE TRIP?  Is it worth it or should I cancel my reservations?  I don't want to drive five hours and have no where to ride.

7  General / Where to Ride? / Best campground in ONF? on: January 06, 2007, 09:01:12 PM
I am trying to plan a trip to Ocala and need information on campgrounds.  I will be tent camping but other in our party have campers.  I would like a nice facility that has showers and bathrooms.  I would also like to be able to ride ATV's from the site but this is not a major necessity.  Any suggestions?

Last weekend I saw a pop up camper/ ATV hauler at C&R Motorsports park.  It was yellow and black, I believe.  If anyone knows the make of this and a dealer, please respond.  I am interested in buying one.

This is the place I heard about.  Are there areas for trail riding or just mud holes?

Try Palmdale.  I have not been there but plan on going soon.  I heard it is 250 acres and is $15 per person to ride.  They have camping and concerts on the weekends.
