4  General / Racing Scene / Re: 6 hour endurance race on: December 08, 2007, 10:45:33 PM
The facts as I know them to be.

1. It was asked how many would be interested in a 6 hour race at the Wild Turkey Quad Scramble
2. The location for the race was established
3. We we notified as to who was involved
4. The date chosen was by Josh as there were no other races that weekend
5. I was told to get the information posted on various sites
6. There has been communication with all parties to be involved
7. As of the time of this posting I have not be informed by any of the powers to be that the race is
    cancled.

It appears that as with the beginning stages of the Wild Turkey Quad Scramble we have the old he said she said routine going on again or one hand doesn't know what the other is doing or saying.

Until it is posted otherwise the race is on as scheduled.

Don't know of anyone that has one set up for racing, but that doesn't mean you still can't race it. They race stock ones as well.

16  General / Racing Scene / Re: 6 hour endurance race on: December 05, 2007, 08:23:09 PM
What I know as of now:

3-4 man teams and bikes, change as often as you like during the six hour race.

Will be a ironman class for each, quad and bike

Will be a superman class for those racing quads and bike

Will be a superteam class for teams racing both quads and bike

Will be also be a side by side race

Stay tuned for further info

20  General / Racing Scene / 6 hour endurance race on: November 25, 2007, 08:47:01 PM
Just-Add-Dirt  in cooperation with SAQR is in the planning phase of the next event at location X. Looks to be a 6 hour endurance race Saturday for Dirt Bikes and Sunday for Quads. This will be a team event (rules to be made up as we go along) each day will feature an "IRON MAN" race within a race (one rider one machine 6 hours). The next competition will be the "SUPERMAN" (one racer both days one Bike one quad) The "SUPER TEAM" will also be held (one team two days two races one bike one quad).
The staff here at JAD will attempt to aquire MAXXIS as a major sponsor for the event, but if there is enough interest the race will go on without them. We need a show of hands,
WHO'S IN?Huh?

23  General / Racing Scene / Re: FTR Quad Scramble #4 Venice!! Nov 17th on: November 09, 2007, 05:33:14 PM
the course is up to 10 miles, with tight tight turns in the woods area, logs, boulders, mini van, mud pit, and more to navigate through plus a barn to make it through without tearing off the fenders.

Sarasota Suzuki, Grannys, Douglas Power Sports, Action Power Sports, will be there with new and used quads and bikes on display.

KMA Sales will be there with a bunch of accessories and clothing.

Sharkys, Miami Crepes, Paradise Pizza, and more for food.

RV World of Nokomis with toyhaulers

Tropic Trailors with open and enclosed trailors.

Just-add-dirt.com with shirts, and cleaner, stickers and more.

Galactica with a bounce house for the kiddies

Oh yea and a band for Saturday night.

Probably missing a few other things but should be a great time for all either watching or racing.

Gates will be opening Friday afternoon for all that want to arrive early. Plenty of camping for all.

See ya there......

Canon XTi SLR with 75-300mm Lens with the 430 Flash, shop around on the web and you can get the whole package for $1000
25  General / Open Discussion / Re: Camera on: November 07, 2007, 07:11:46 PM
For the most part you don't need to buy additional lens. You only purchase a good zoom such as a 75 to 300 mm lens and that will take care of 95% of your needs. That is the primary lens that I use daily.
