Thanks all,

I'll be on the board lurking, checking things out.

I am still not sure if I am going to bring my bike out with me, or wait until my family come as I have no where to store it for right now..

I really only ride my Modded Shee, and my 85 atc200x. My wife and kids ride the rest.

I am looking at getting my wife a raptor 660 in after they move out there with me in July. She is not getting a new 700, not a chance..

I guess I'll have to get a shorter swingarm when I move there. I am running a +8 right now.

They sound killer with aftermarket exhaust, see them at the dunes. A friend of mine who owns a local bike shop for 25years says they are junk, but he rides 20mil stroked banshees... He just said the tranny is the weak spot on those.

What part of Florida are you moving to?
My office is off Alico Rd. We'll move somewhere in the area. I was wondering if you folks could clue me in to what area has the best high schools. I'll have 2 in High School soon, and one 8th grader.

I appreciate all of your input.

Here are some other interesting facts about Phoenix. I have to drive 1 to 1 1/2 hours just to get to riding areas that are overcrowded with a bunch of careless a-holes who trash the area, are loud, obnoxious, and rude towards others. You also have these riding choices.. Desert, and then Desert, and then oh yea Desert. Also our comfort zone riding season only lasts from November to the end of March. Other than that it is way too hot to ride for more than a hour without overheating yourself or your machine. I am not real fond of the desert after spending 6 hours in the emergency room to pull the cactus out of my 14yo sons butt, side, arms and back. My wife had a rollover spill and got punctured nicely on her leg. It is really like running the gauntlet when riding here.

Glamis is another story, it is my mecca. I'll be there for 5 days next week. We call it Mother G for a reason. Glamis is the most incredible riding on the plant. It usually only takes one trip to get hooked. My screenname says it all.

Here are the ingredients for Glamis.   Banshee+Sand Dunes+ JagerBombers+some place to sleep+some food once in a while.

I will miss them, but will only be in florida for 2years. I am moving to Texas after that. There is Little Sahara in Ok that will quench my thirst.

Why does Florida Suck?

I am going back to work as a Project Manager for a large contractor.

I don't understand what all the hub-bub is about?

Trust Me when I say Phoenix Sucks A$$. The only plus for me, is I am 4 1/2 hours from Glamis. It gets so hot here, you cannot even touch your steering wheel. I guess it is all realitive to where you have been. I am sick of the desert, and need some green, and grass in my life.

dont do it.
you'll regret it man.
besides phoenix has the hottest real estate market now.
BUY BUY BUY!

so many trying to get in and i wish icould get out.

Well if you havn't heard, the market went to S$&T in the last few months. Went from Sellers market with an inventory of 6000 houses to 20K buyers. Now role reversed 30k houses with 6k buyers.  Now sell a house--->take a loss. I am having a hell of a time selling, even with discount and I live on a lake, that's right a Lake home in one of the nicest suburbs (Chandler) 15min from Sky Harbor, and Downtown Phoenix. Trust me, Phoenix is no Gem. Plus do you realize how hot it gets here. Ever hear the joke "it's a dry heat"? People are being sarcastic JULY and AUGUST 105 to 110 deg with major humidity. Burn your tail end like a cat jumped into a BBQ.

Lets not get into the depressed JOB MARKET. I have 15years experience plus a Degree in Information Technology, and don't get calls. Everyone moved here, and now they pay much less, and the market is flooded.

I'M OUTTA HERE See you in April!!!!

Hello all!

I am moving to Fort Myers area from Phoenix. I will be there in April, and my wife and 3 teenagers will be there in July.  My riding preferences are:

1. Sand Dunes
2. Sand Hills
3. Sand Flats
4. Dirty Sand
5. Sandy Dirt
6. Dirt Trails
7. Mud Trails
8. At this point anything goes.
9. I live to ride... period...

We are as a family avid Glamis Duners, and trail riders, but are willing to try anything once.

I just want to introduce myself, and look to get out there and meet some of you folks to go riding with. I'll post some bike pics in the photo gallery.
