Cool man! That is an awsome video. Looks like I will miss Ga also. Was that Taylor Kiser that passed you in the middle of the track and just went away? It sucked that the tree got the video. I sounded like a real rough track but didn't look so bad in the video. We had a good showing from the guys I ride with also. Once again that was awsome!!!!!!
Good Job!

The technology with the shims is different than that of a rocker arm type valve system. There is no breake in period for the valves on a Z, KFX, DVX-400. The cam sits directly on top of the tappet, which sits on top of the shim, which sits on top of the valve stem. Should not need repair for a couple of years. The sound you hear is the tensioning device reaching its limit as the chain stretches. The timing chain will go beyond the limit of the tensioner rather quickly. best remedy is a manual tensioner and it will smooth it right out with hand tightening. The timing chains are a weak link as well as the tensioner. I have yet to find a good timing chain but the manual tensioner is a good start.
Hope that cleared it up,

Thanks Guys, I should have both bikes ready for the next race? We shall see! Is too much HP going to hurt me on this track?? I am debating on going to the t-rex power valve 525 with the 10mm stroker.Do you think it will be too much for the track??

Well guys looks like the shee is out of commision for awhile. Found out today that the right side crank bearing has exploded. The only notification I got was a little rattle at idle. opened the basket side and ball bearings fell out. I thought it was running very well. The carbs needed a little re jetting and that made a big differance. Updates to follow. The KFX isn't running either so I guess I will not make the next race. I have to leave town for a week on Monday and will be back on Friday so I will make the race as a spectator but not to race.

Looks like a few of my buddies and me will try to make the race on the 8th. Just to watch though. We will finish our race at 5 PM and if we are not to tired we will come and watch. If anyone has a few sets of tires for 400ex might be able to convince some of them to race. we will all have our gear and bikes in tow. Will probably be to tired though. Our race is 2 hours long and 50 to 60 miles of woods. 1 lap is around 12 miles and should take from 18 to 22 minuted to complete. Should run about 5 laps. I also need tires for my KFX if anyone has a set. I seem to be having a problem finding the offset rear tires.

Great racing guy's! I am looking forward to mixing it up with you. I wiil be at the race after the 8th. Ready to ride. I may have to pull a Rob and race both classes!! ? I will make up my mind soon! Very nice meeting with some of you. You all seem like good guys. I am going to see if I can get some of the ladies from the FTR to give it a try. We have some very good A riders that are women.

Well put 17. I will be adding another Banshee to the chase in a short time. I may not be in the front with you but I should do pretty well once I get tooned in to the track. It will be different racing without the tree's and 3 foot deep whoops to contend with. Smooth surface, what's that all about. It should be fun. After all is said and done it is nice to win but if not to be able to race again. A bad day of racing is still way better than a good day working!

OK, Here is the deal. I need some input. I will be racing this summer, at HCS. What kind of set-up am I looking for to compete? I don't want all the secrets, just the basics. I race harescrambles all over the state in the FTR series. I have a few of the racers from that series that are interested in trying this over the summer. I will probably be the trial person for this. I have a spare bike and can do what I wish with it. I have a banshee that has been ported, polished, decked and a number of other things as well. I think I have enough engine and enough pilot. I just need some instruction on what toys to add to the bike. Any info would be of great help. I am out of town for a couple more weeks and will ride in Chipley, FL this weekend for an FTR race. We only have one more after that down on the Indian Reservation, past Naples on May 8th. I would like to be ready for racing at HCS after that race is finished. Please give me a little insite for set-up.
Thanks, Dennis
