Read as much as you can so when you go to buy you know what you are looking At, ask to see the grading report (GIA), have the stone apprised buy a outside source If possible, also a lot of imperfections can be hidden in the setting. This link has a lot of good Info http://www.bridaltips.com/diamond.htm A nice stone will throw more light and look more impressive then a frozen ball of snot. It is a big purchase good luck Cheers CyCole

un-bolt the muffler from your mower,,,,then mow at 3am. ;-)
Id@
I was about to say the same thing. Screw these people. I dont know how they get away with this crap. Its freakin rediculous. I would last about 5 seconds with an HOA. I dont see how they get away with leins and kick people out of homes that they own. Because you sign a statement that you understand and will abide by said laws when you closed on your property.

quote How do you know he is not a christian? Pretty arrogant of you to assume that. Just because someone drives/rides wreckless doesnt mean they are bad people. I am sure you have done so on your quad. Your right being a christian has not one thing to do with it, but the road is not the place for this and if he caused a death then he should pay the price. I don't care how well he can build a bike.
If it were you or me we would be locked up asap

Cycole:
I went to the last Polk County Property Auction and the River Ranch Lots start out low, but they all seem to go for over 5 grand. Sometimes I wonder if the people bidding on the lots even know that they can't be built on.
As for the original question "IS IT WORTH IT".
I can't see how it's not worth it to lock up 1.25 acres for about 5 grand. Especially if you're hooked up with 3 other people to split it with.
They're just not making any more land for some crazy reason. And the land that they did make, they keep taking it away from ATV enthusiasts. THOSE BASTIDS!
Well if you were to sell a 1/4 interests say @ 1500 you would make a 1000 for bidding. You will be surprised at how many people that have parcels and live up north that want to recoup some of their losses do the research the internet is a wonderful thing. Also Please don’t get me wrong I love RR . SeeYa , CyCole

RR IS A GOOD TIME, I HAVE BEEN THERE A COUPLE OF TIMES, THE QUESTION IS IT WORTH IT? DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU LIVE, AND HOW FAR YOUR WILLING TO DRIVE. BECAUSE IN MY OPINION HOLOWPAW CAN NOT BE TOUCHED BY ANYTHING ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE! RR HAS A LOT OF RULES AND EXTRA CHARGES THAT MAKE OWNERSHIP A HASSLE, NOT TO MENTION HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO GET OUT THERE WITHOUT A 4X4 TRUCK, MY FAMILY HAS A COUPLE OF ACRES IN HOLOPAW, I BIELEVE ITS BETWEEN 3K AND 5K AN ACRE AND THAT GIVES YOU FULL USE OF MORE THAN 10K ACRES. NO RULE JUST FUN JUST MY OPINION
People need to do their research before they buy! The county auction property off every month that falls within the rrpoa controlled area. Most 1.25 acres are appraised at 688.00 And the bidding starts at that and goes up. You need to check for any leans and back taxes all this info is available on polk web site, also 10000 acres is great but 43000 is 4 times as nice . Cheers CyCole Ps, I am not saying that you can get a parcel for 688.00 but some time and research will pay off.

You describe RR as woods, plains and open brush. How is that different from SE? I know the northern parts of SE tend to be cypress swamp but what about the rest? Also, isn't there quite a bit of swampland to RR as well as impenetrable palmettos? I like both areas and indications are that SE is improving security. I would prefer to buy in RR but want to have a say about what I can and can't do on my land. If I could buy a lot that had that security, where I can have my camp on my lot without fear that someday someone is going to show up and say 'move it pal, that's my land your camp is on.' Push comes to shove, that could absolutely happen at RR the way they have it setup, unless the RRPOA owns the land the camps are on. Of course, that is only a good thing if every property owner has a vested interest in RRPOA. Otherwise, there is nothing stopping them from selling the land out from underneath your camp. I know that's probably not going to happen but the bottom line is, there are clear laws regarding land ownership that would over-step any rules of the RRPOA. If the rules change and I could have my camp on my lot, then I would not hesitate to buy at RR. I may still buy there anyways. The jury on this thread appears to still be out as the comments are 4-3 in favor of SE. Need more comments from people who actually own out there.
Well if you follow the rules (no permanent structure) at RR you would just move your camp and hope that the parcel you purchased is not under water or in the middle of a cypress head /wetland that you would most likely not be able to build on. Be prepared to pay for a *signed* survey of your lot

My insurance company said as long as it was for personal use that it would be covered. There are a lot of places you can camp that don’t offer water. I am referring to a travel trailer and not a constructed cabin SeeYa CyCole
