2  General / Tech Corner / Re: if my sparkplug is stripped will my 4 wheeler still fire and run on: April 20, 2008, 12:03:55 PM
im more concerned to know if the plug is stripped and its loosing compresion out the hole should it at least fire the motor and not backfire out the carb i am gonna put a helicoil in it to repair the plug but if its something else then ill just replace the motor  ive worked on the timing for several months changing the timing chain all sorts of different ways but no luck  just keeps backfiring ive tried evrey type of variations on the timing chain and no luck thought it may be off a tooth but no luck

4  General / Tech Corner / Re: if my sparkplug is stripped will my 4 wheeler still fire and run on: April 20, 2008, 11:29:53 AM
mine is a 1991 yamaha 125 breeze  totally automatic if you have a good top and bottom end maybe i would just replace the entire thing  ive been working on this one for 6 months and have had no luck getting it to run again  it used to run great but i bent a valve  i replaced both valves and could never get it running again

7  General / Tech Corner / if my sparkplug is stripped will my 4 wheeler still fire and run on: April 20, 2008, 11:05:11 AM
i have a yamaha breeze 125 and my sparkplug is stripped  will it or should it still fire. it backfires out the carb but wont run. ive reset the timming 20 times but it wont actually start.it has fire to the plug and keeps backfiring out the carb. i put gas directly in the head and put the stripped plug in loosly but it wont fire. just backfire out the back of the carb. it is actually firing but not starting. i put new valves and guides in but just cant seem to get the timing right. i thought maybe because the plug was stripped its not sealing right and that may be why its firing out the carb. help me please.

9  General / Tech Corner / yamaha 125 breeze spark and compression wont fire on: October 29, 2006, 05:33:55 PM
have a 1996 yamaha 125 breeze that wont fire  has plenty of spark  good compression  but wont actually fire. put gas directly into sparkplug hole and still wont fire im baffled  its not a weak spark if you put gas into the plughole and you have spark  it should at least fire  was running great  then the next day  nothing checked the on off swicth it seems fine any suggestions Cry should it still fire when you pour gas into the lughole if you have good spark?
10  General / Tech Corner / Re: Cheap quads... on: September 06, 2006, 11:54:21 AM
i have bought a few of the cheepie chineese bikes. i found they seem to run ok but dont leave them in the rain!! all the hardware seems to rust overnight.we bought two 110 bikes and they were plenty powerful but everything is very cheaply put together. if you buy one  make sure you go through it and tighten all the nuts and bolts before you ride them.also  if you ever decide to resell them, we couldnt hardly give ours away. they have hardly any resale value. most everyone wants to stay with the brandnames for the warenties and service. most are hard to get parts for.another problem we had is that they were very hard to shift into nuetral for some reason.i dont sugest buying one but i did find one name that seemed to hold up really good. it was called  TANK. check out their websight. we got  a 110cc and my kid rode the heck out of itand it held up very well. it had plenty of power and speed and he would ride it for hours on end.we finally sold it (for a substancial loss) and upgraded him to a kx 60 from kawasaki
 good luck

14  General / Open Discussion / Re: How old are your kids who ride 4 wheelers on: August 27, 2006, 09:43:00 PM
definitely bullsh*t!!  as parents we know our kids limitations! i have an 11 year old and he has been riding since i addopted him 5 years ago. he started on a yz 60 and then went to a yamaha 80 and now can ride any bike he can touch the ground on. with proper training a kid can safely ride anything that moves. i taught him that just because there is more throttle dosnt mean you have to go full blast.he has ridden all types of bikes and 4 wheelers from a honda 50 to a yamaha 350 warrior. he rides only with a helmet and only with supervision. my problem is sometimes he is to careful and i have to wait for him to catch up. what ever happened to go out  have fun and break some bones? getting hurt teaches respect. thats how i learned. i dont let my kid go crazy but i do encourage the balls to the walls attitude. and yes  i only let him ride when im right there riding with him
