1  General / Where to Ride? / Re: Official Croom - Google Earth Map Thread on: February 24, 2006, 01:40:18 AM
Just want to thank you for this thread. I went to Croom, for first time, a few weeks ago. I was alone and surprised at the size of the place. I decided to buy a GPS and will use it, along with the info. from the map, the next time I go. I'm sure it will make my next ride a better experience. Maybe it will help me keep the wheels pointing down instead of up. Smiley

Just an update. Apparently a mistake was made when RK packaged the kit . The wrong sprocket was packaged. They are sending me a new kit. Apparently this has happened before. Good to know that I'm not totally going nuts. Smiley
4  General / Tech Corner / 400 EX chain/sprocket on: January 19, 2006, 11:33:51 PM
I just put a new RK chain and sprocket kit on my 400 EX. New chain and sprockets. For some reason the chain does not ride in the rear sprocket correctly. Chain rides correct in center of sprocket but the rollers are riding up on the sprocket teeth on the top and bottom. Meaning the roller part of the chain is on the point of the teeth. Chain is adjusted as specified in manual. Am I missing something obvious or is it possible the sprocket was packaged wrong? Right now the chain rubs the guard under the rear spocket. I've changed these things before but never had this happen.

I went to Dunelllon this week and found trail behind Marathon station. Didn't see anyone around so decided to leave. I tried going up earlier in week but had to replace battery on quad. Now, I've noticed that it's been moved in the middle of the night. I've got it chained and locked but looks like someone else wanted it. Instead they took my CD's out of my truck. I've got my shotgun out now and I'm waiting to meet them. Smiley

There are alot of areas to ride out near dunellon/hernando/crystal river area, but the biggest problem is finding a place to park, the cops care more where u park than where you ride. I rode out there a few times in the past week, its pretty fun, i just sorta forgot how to get to some of the places i used to go  Undecided
