1  General / Racing Scene / Re: FTR proposal to eliminate quads... on: March 22, 2007, 06:16:49 AM
FTR doesn't host the races, the clubs do.  To hold 2 events in 2 weeks would be to much to ask of one club.  It's tiring.
2  General / Racing Scene / Re: Racing MX at seminole in the C- class??? on: January 15, 2007, 06:42:35 AM
It never is.  Quads always get the shaft when it comes to race day.  There's a huge battle right now on FTR's website about it.  Quads are getting kicked out of the hare scramble series and people are flipping out.  They started their own quad series, but IMHO, how can it work?  Clubs are used to getting entry fees from 800 riders, how can they afford to host a race with only 200 riders?

Is there some sort of flyer?  Where can I get a schedule for the weekend?
9  General / Where to Ride? / Re: WHERE IS THE HUMPS ETC. on: November 27, 2006, 04:45:36 PM
Actually, I don't hit any of those places.  Organized MX tracks are the only places I ride.  I don't need some drunk Hillbilly smashing into me.
10  General / Where to Ride? / Re: WHERE IS THE HUMPS ETC. on: November 25, 2006, 07:57:59 AM
Why is it so hard to get directions?  "Oh, Duh,  I think its off this road,  no, duh, behind the speedway."  These are not directions.

I've bought 3 bikes and a quad from them in the past year.  They are awesome.  Ask for Todd, he knows everything about dirt, and he rides too.

What he's not telling you, which you probably know by now, is Willis is a Madman. Evil
13  General / Racing Scene / Re: LTR TIPS on: October 25, 2006, 05:15:02 PM
Willis,
You're right I do.  But the body's getting tired and I just don't want to admit it.  I love the woods racing, but I've got to come back to reality every now and then and realize I'm not a kid anymore.  Hangin out at the MX track and doing a few laps here and there I'm fine.  2 hour HS's just kill me.  I always end up sick a week later.  The heat is brutal.  I did a nice 1 1/2 hour practice at Seminole a few weeks ago on my bike.  I knew I was pushing it, I knew I was hurting myself.  I ended up with the flu.  4 days of 103.5 fevers and still had to go to work.  I can't push myself like that anymore, I know I sound like a wimp, but oh well, nothin I can do.  I try to train for it, I can run for an hour, lift for an hour, whatever else, but it's not the same.  I'll see you at the track.....yes you can take it for a spin.
14  General / Racing Scene / Re: LTR TIPS on: October 25, 2006, 06:08:36 AM
I know you can get a Pro Armor kill switch with a little harness for the LTR which makes install a breeze.
Willis, I think i'll keep this one wide.  2 hour races in 90 degree weather just don't appeal to me anymore.
15  General / Racing Scene / Re: Quad scramble #2 at Seminole LET'S GO WOODS RIDERS! on: October 24, 2006, 05:34:42 PM
Razr's are good.  You'll need at least 3 sets mounted and ready to go during pit stops.
16  General / Racing Scene / LTR TIPS on: October 24, 2006, 10:22:14 AM

Thumb for sure.
18  General / Racing Scene / Re: countyline in miami on: October 03, 2006, 05:54:28 PM
They use landscape garbage for fill for God's sake!!!  I rode there with a buddy of mine a few weeks ago and one of the backside corners was filled with palm frons and grass clippings!!!!  I won't be back, that place is a joke.
19  General / Racing Scene / Re: LTR450??? on: September 13, 2006, 02:03:43 PM
Wheel spacers are about as safe as an open-faced helmet.
20  General / Racing Scene / Re: LTR450??? on: September 13, 2006, 01:45:25 PM
Maybe I'll get an open-faced helmet too.   Grin
21  General / Racing Scene / Re: LTR450??? on: September 13, 2006, 11:07:13 AM
I'll just let GTThunder work the stockers.  Swap Handlebars, nerfs, muffler, Cherrybomb, then maybe tires, that's it.  But not if the tranny is going to fry itself.
22  General / Racing Scene / Re: LTR450??? on: September 13, 2006, 10:55:32 AM
I don't want to spend the money to make the Honda or Yammie "WIDE"
23  General / Open Discussion / Re: Jeremiah Jones - Raffle for his LT-R450 on: September 13, 2006, 10:08:46 AM
Not to stir up any sh*t, but what the heck is there a raffle for?  Shouldn't Suzuki take care of this guy for the rest of his life?
24  General / Racing Scene / Re: LTR450??? on: September 13, 2006, 09:58:33 AM
That's not true.
25  General / Racing Scene / LTR450??? on: September 13, 2006, 06:27:40 AM
I was in the market for a new quad and since I mainly ride MX, was thinking of the new Suzi.  However if you read the forums, it seems like there's a few problems with them.  Mainly, transmissions.  Anybody own one or hear of any horror stories with these quads?
Thanks
