6  General / Open Discussion / Re: Brute force or grizzly??? on: June 01, 2005, 11:17:28 AM
I HAVE AN 02 GRIZZLY WITH 28 IN OUTLAWS AND IT'S GETTING BETTER THAN 8 MPG, MORE LIKE 1O TO 12 DEPENDING ON HOW YOU RIDE IT . AS FAR AS WHICH ONE OF THE TWO TO GET, I LIKE THEM BOTH, SO I SAY LOOK AT THE SPECS ON THEM , READ THE REVIEW,S AND CHOOSE THE ONE YOU FEEL SOOTS YOUR NEEDS. Cool

10  General / Open Discussion / Re: Rincon vs. Grizzly on: April 28, 2005, 10:24:08 AM
Hey  I  say go with the grizzly, that front diff lock is real handy when your in nasty mud, plus the performance is outstanding. Check out the lastest edition of dirtwheels it has a write up about the 05 grizzly and it still rates very well against the larger cc bikes that have come out.  The other two I would suggest are the susuki king quad 700 or the kawasaki brute force 750. Cool

There are more people killed each day in automobile, and street bike accidents than atv riders in one year. The media is always trying to brain wash us with there b s.

hey my dad lives in davie and i have to go up there every other weakend and is there any place up there to ride i saw that there was some trails where the turnpike and i 75 meet and is it ok to ride there also is there any place up there if there is can you plz give drictions for them thanks

The area You seen at the turnpike and I-75 is known as lost lake and it is hot out there , some people still go in there , but there taking a chance. The FWC is out there alot ticketing people, and the state is closing off the entrance we use to get in. They have also went so far as to knock down trees to block some of the trails.
24  General / Open Discussion / Re: help grizzly owner( from tech corner) on: February 02, 2005, 06:11:25 PM
I have the hole side panel drilled to ventilate the engine compartment with out having to remove the panel while riding. I also wrapped the exhaust with header wrap I got from summit racing, that really helps. Your panels have more openings than My 02 grizzly, but there still not enough. You could ride with them off or givem more ventilation. Cool
25  General / Open Discussion / Re: help grizzly owner( from tech corner) on: February 01, 2005, 05:41:44 PM
Hey oneslowexer , the first thing You should check is the venttube on your gas tank. I had a similar problem and my vent was plugged, the gas in tank was boiling and the pressure flooded my carb. the grizzly,s run hot due to lack of ventilation around engine. I recomend drilling 1/4 in holes in a pattern of your choosing. It helps the bike run cooler, the heat kit yamaha came with is not to good. Another thing I did is remove the tank and lined the bottom with a 3/16 in foam adhesive insulation used for a/c lines, I covered the foam with aluminum tape then put the tank back on. also try making a metal heat sheild to put over the exhaust pipe under the gas tank to sheild it from the heat of the exhaust. You can e-mail Me if You have any  questions. Cool
