1  General / Open Discussion / Re: ATV Title in Florida on: January 06, 2012, 07:53:15 PM
You can sell a pre 02 atv without a title, although the new owner is required to get a title if they use it on public land.
[/quote

I think this is part true Paul.   If you owned the ATV prior to 2002 you have to go in and sign an affidavit stating you owned it prior to this year to get a title.  If you sell one without a title for a ATV 2002 or older you can not sign this wavier unless you want to perjure yourself stating you owned it prior to this date.  So the original owner, prior to 2002, would have to title it and then sell it and then the new owner would have to transfer ownership by retitling it.

Bass-turds love to get every penny off you lol.

Florida is now requiring all ATV's sold in Florida to have a title, so if you ever plan to sell the ATV without a title, repercussions may be possible.

Florida does not require titles on pre 02 atv's

Still thinking about it.  Wink
8  General / Racing Scene / Re: question for ya on: October 25, 2011, 08:43:56 AM
We don't mind sxs's at all.

At the moment, we are just open during our race days, you are welcome to race mx. Our MX series has a sxs class.

I am thinking of having another open weekend, with a bunch of fun events, late January. Keep your eyes peeled for details.

If you want to ride when we are closed, just give me a call...most of the time we can accommodate you. (727) PLEXMX2

Bring him up to the Motoplex, we race every couple of weeks, have a couple of great kids classes for him to run in and 400 acres of trails to play on in between.  Wink

Pretty sure we are going to have practice on the big track this Sunday  Wink
11  General / Racing Scene / Re: Motoplex trails on: September 30, 2011, 12:13:59 PM
Thanks for the info.  What are our options for getting some practice time on the big track?   There are not many quad friendly tracks between Madison and Pensacola so we are interested in attending more of your events and would like to get familiar with that track.

Get 5 people to ride it on sunday and we will open it up for you. $20 per person, includes trails.
12  General / Racing Scene / Re: Motoplex trails on: September 28, 2011, 12:03:55 PM
I am driving over from Tallahassee this weekend to check out the race and will be bringing 6 riders/quads. 4 of us are intersted in possibly racing and the other two wold just like to ride the other areas of the park. Can you provide me with info regarding camping options and facilities at the park as well as info on the trails and other tracks availible to ride other than the main motorcross track? Thanks.

Hi, we have 364 acres to ride on. Tons of trails. People coming out on race day usually race and go home, so you will have the place mostly to yourselves.

No camping fri, but you can camp sat night, if you are riding sun. No charge for primitive camping.

We have 4 mx tracks, but we only groom the big one unless we are having a special event. You are welcome to ride the others. The big track gets shut down after the race and will be closed until the next race.

Cost to ride the park (not including the big mx track as it is only open for the race) is as follows:

If you are racing, you pay a $10 gate fee plus $25 to race. No charge to ride the trails on saturday.

The others coming just to ride and not race, pay just $15 per day.

So to race and trail ride sat only....$35 per person.
To trail ride only sat $15.00 per person.

For the whole weekend, the price would be $50 for the racers and $30 for the non racers.

cool! I would like to go  out there again its been awhile. she wants to race but theres no way she can be in a team and possible barely able to make it a few laps before she cannot go any further, I would have to follow her the whole time can you make some exceptions for a handicapped rider? it will be next year before she will be able to race she has to get used to her new machine plus im still outfitting it for her yet.

Probably figure out a way for it to work  Wink
14  General / Racing Scene / Re: Motoplex trails on: September 24, 2011, 01:17:27 PM
so the trails are open again? Shocked when are you doing the xc races again? my daughter wants to do those but shes a handicapped rider

Trails are usually available on our MX race days (Saturdays only).

Next one coming up is this coming Saturday.

Thinking about doing a team xc race. We tried the individuals but didn't have enough participation.

I might do another feature weekend soon, if we do, then we would have an xc race that weekend.

What's up with all the spider webs? I've never seen so many spiders in my life. The witches coven or what ever it is called was nice but finally turned back because I got tired of eating spiders. To bad more people don't ride out there. Thanks for letting me ride out there.

LOL, we have had our trails closed for most of this year
16  General / Racing Scene / Re: 24 Team XC Race * Important Update* on: September 11, 2011, 01:14:15 PM
My crew will be out. With nothing solid for us to plan for it looks like 4 of us are gonna carpool to durhamtown. Bikes are so much cheaper, if they only had lights Huh

Cool, enjoy Durhamtown.

I am still looking at dates in Oct for the new 6 hour 2 man team.

Will let everyone know in a day or so.
17  General / Racing Scene / Re: 24 Team XC Race * Important Update* on: September 08, 2011, 07:30:11 AM
So when we we know if its official for the 6hr 2 man team race on the Oct. 1st? I now have a few dirt bike friends that may want to come up and race. They wanted to do the 24hr but the exspense was to much. With a 6hr race we can all ride up together and make a long day of it.

I'll figure it out today, although it would have to be on Sunday (the 2nd) as we have an mx race on the Saturday.
18  General / Racing Scene / Re: 24 Team XC Race * Important Update* on: September 07, 2011, 08:12:41 AM
Bike guys have to buy lights which adds a min. of $300 to the race for us/them. Try to advertise a 10hr race for Oct. 1st. Thats an off weekend for the FTR, Dirty Foot is closed and the bikers wont need lights. See how much interest you can get in the next 2 weeks.

Just a thought.

ps, I have  my masters test on the 24th.

Thinking of doing 2 man teams 6 hour race.

Good luck on the 24th  Smiley
19  General / Racing Scene / Re: 24 Team XC Race * Important Update* on: September 06, 2011, 07:51:04 PM
‎24 hour race is now officially cancelled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We gave everyone time to preregister, but only had 2 atv teams, 3 sxs teams and zero dirt bike teams register. Obviously it wouldn't make for much of an exciting race. We are still going to have XC race this fall....just going to figure out a more popular format.
20  General / Racing Scene / Re: Motoplex trails on: September 02, 2011, 05:33:56 PM
Will the trails be available to ride tomorrow if you are not racing. We may come out that way.

Sure  Grin
21  General / Racing Scene / Re: Motoplex trails on: September 02, 2011, 09:41:50 AM
The primary use for the majority of our property now is timber. The trails are still there, they are not open or closed. If someone wants to pay us to ride in them that is ok.

Most of the ATV use of our property is confined to our main mx track.

We will be opening the whole property for our themed ATV events (feature weekends) from time to time.

22  General / Open Discussion / Re: Iron Horse (new park)Grand opening weekend September 16-18 on: August 31, 2011, 10:16:12 PM
It's a little south of us, a bunch of these mud parks in our area, maybe like 5 or 6. I think there is 3 or 4 in the little town of Perry alone (where this one is).

Lot of people have mud trucks in this area so they might do ok. Not our scene though, we stick to atv's and dirt bikes at our place. Hope they have some cool atv trails though, me and my buddies are always looking for a new place to ride at.
23  General / Racing Scene / Important news re the 24 hour race on: August 25, 2011, 01:50:55 PM
Important news re the 24 hour race. Were about to reduce the amount of classes available. We'll keep any class that we have ANY entries in by the pre-reg cut off date (1st sep). All others are gone.

You can register your team for just $5 per team (which comes off the total) & ensure we have a class for you.
