1  General / Open Discussion / Re: Quad Banana Ramp on: November 29, 2005, 03:50:12 PM
Man that is sick. Did you guys come up with the idea to make it a trailer and a ramp, or has that been around awhile?
I still haven't had the chance to hit somthing like that, but I need to start on somthing about half that size anyway.

Mine should be coming in anyday now. I also got a jet kit and k&n air filter to go along with it. I'll let you know how it works out for me as soon as possible.
3  General / Open Discussion / Re: how to wheelie a raptor 350 on: October 22, 2005, 01:01:37 PM
Just keep practiceing, thats what I did and now I can ride them all day. You can even get the 350 up in 4th if you stand on the back with one foot and rev the hell out of it then pop the clutch. I'm hoping with new filter, pipe, and jet kit, the thing will come up in 2nd with no clutch. I'll find out in a couple weeks. Grin

Thats what it said they do, changes the timing and resets the rev limiter a little higher. I own a raptor 350 and in a couple weeks I'm gunna have a slip on, k&n filter, and a stage 1 jet kit. This hi rev thing is about 100 bucks. I'm not trying to do to much else to the quad after these mods because I'm going to end up with a 450 eventually. Does anyone think its worth the $$?
5  General / Tech Corner / Worth it, or not? on: October 21, 2005, 06:37:42 PM
I've seen some people selling somthing called a Hi rev box on ebay. Has anyone heard anything about these and does anyone think they are worth the money.

As soon as I get my next paycheck I'm getting one for my raptor 350. I hope I get at least 5hp out of it.

8  General / Open Discussion / Re: What do yall think? on: October 13, 2005, 04:25:22 PM
Oh ya, I also got a better grab bar off ebay that hasn't come in yet.
9  General / Open Discussion / What do yall think? on: October 13, 2005, 04:23:51 PM
I recently got an 05 raptor 350. Its not what I wanted but I couldn't pass up the deal. I'm somwhat of a beginner but I like to hit jumps and ride wheelies. I know I need at least a slip on and an air filter, but other than that, what should I do to the quad to make it a decent freestyle machine. I already got better handle bars but thats it.

If possible, please let me know the approximate cost of products you recomend. I'm trying to keep it around 1000$ including whatever pipe and filter I get. I dont want to get too expensive because I know that I will get a 450 when I can afford one.

That thing is bad. My jaw dropped when I saw the piture. I think thats the first one I've seen. Is it as good or better than the yfz?

12  General / Tech Corner / Re: overheating?? on: September 29, 2005, 11:11:44 AM
I dont think so. All it has is a reverse and neutral light. Can I get one installed so that I will know when I have been running it to hard?
13  General / Tech Corner / re jetting? on: September 28, 2005, 10:22:04 PM
Sorry if this has been talked about already, I did a search and couldnt find what I needed. I am wanting to remove my baffle and air lid and im pretty sure that i need to re jet the quad after doing this. It is a 350 raptor. Can anyone explain how to do this or direct me to a site that will explain it to me.
14  General / Tech Corner / Re: overheating?? on: September 28, 2005, 09:55:57 PM
Im about 6'1" but im only 150 pounds. Buying this quad is a last resort because i cant get a new one due to not having any credit or a co signer. Thanks for the info.
15  General / Tech Corner / overheating?? on: September 28, 2005, 08:56:49 PM
I was wondering if anyone knows how long I can run an air cooled raptor 350 without it overheating and causing damage to the engine. Are there any signs I should look or listen for when riding that may indicate any problems? I like to ride the machine very hard and I can ride for hours at a time. Please let me know if I am screwing the four wheeler up, its not mine but I may be buying very soon because I can not get financed on a new quad. Thanks.

So we are not able to put pics or videos of wheelies on the street. Just curious cuz a lot of my ridding ends up on the road becouse of lack of good trails.
17  General / Tech Corner / Re: Why do you cut your fenders? on: September 27, 2005, 03:24:00 PM
My friend has a 250ex with the fenders cut and it helps us see where we are going while doing wheelies.

Im new to the forum also and Im getting a quad very soon as long as I can get financed. I was thinking about the 700raptor. Is this a bad atv for freestyle?
21  General / Open Discussion / New to Forum on: September 27, 2005, 10:30:53 AM
Hey everyone! Im new to this forum and the atv scene. Ive been ridding for about 6 months and I live in Highlands County. I dont own an atv yet but Im going to the lake placid dealership in a couple days to try to get financed on the new 700r. My buddy let me borrow his 350 and Ive been ridding it everyday except when I have to work. Hope to meet some cool people close to my area who like to ride.
