I am sure you will heal up quick Jake, and make Toby wait on you the whole time you are healing up. You know breakfast in bed. If you need a bell to ring for him just call me.

I don't think the "turndowns" is the real issue here. I thought I heard Randy say that the bikes were Grandfathered in. If that is the case then that is fine. What I am worried (maybe worried is not the right verbage) about is the cc limit or lack thereof. I am only concerned about the possibility of it hurting the number of Sponsor Cup racers that will continue to race at Dade. On the other hand the skill of some of the young men that race Pro Am from FL is as good as it gets. I hope we can see the regulars along with Devin, Josh, Jeffery, Mark, Neil, TC, Evan and others all on the track at the same time. I have no idea if someone is over 450 cc's or not. If they are and winning or losing, and it is not against the rules then they are not doing anything wrong at all. I say put your gear and helmet on and race.

Do you mean there is one or more using big bore kits instead of skill to help them win? That's unconscionable. I agree that they should be limited to 450 cc. If there is no limit than what normally happens in any motor sports is you lose riders or drivers as they can not afford to keep up the building and rebuilding of motors in order to compete. I have seen this in my days of tractor pulling and stock car racing. Usually you see people either trying the bigger bores or quitting because of the unfairness. Imagine a 400 trying to run with the 450's. The best rider in the world would only be able to keep it close. Until the rules limit's cc's, you have 2 choices, be an also ran or build a bigger motor. Turn downs or decibal readings? Either one is fine I guess.

First off, we want to thank Randy and his crew for all the great work they have done providing "The Sponsor Cup" race program for quads. The two big jumps that the Sponsor Cup Quads had the last race was absolutely great. It provided a special section of track to show what these young men can do. I know it also scared Randy just a little but I hope he continues to have these special sections for them. Second I have listened to the last two DCMX Radio programs and have really enjoyed them and more importantly learned a lot about what goes on to put on such fine races. They were extremely informative and included several topics that most racers and their families do not know how much really goes on behind the scenes. Not just at the races but all year and in between the races they are working on all sorts of projects. I just want to encourage all who are interested to listen to their radio programs. Of course they are slanted towards the bike side with not as much quad talk as I would like but I understand all of that also.

Classes were huge. 70 in Prod A and 40 in 16-24. All said and done Lyndon and Jake finished pretty respectable. Pro Am boys had alot of mishaps in front and all around them. They will have better runs. It looks like it will be hard for anyone to beat Jeffery and Mark.

Lyndon's number is 86. It used to be 89 the first year or so that he raced, which is the year he was born. He changed it to 86 to honor his sister (born in 86) who died of cancer. Pretty special I thought. I knew Lyndon would not tell this story so I thought I would.

We had a great time this weekend. Lyndon got some needed practice on hard pack. It was fun for me watching Chad, Lawson, Brown, Bowen, Matt, Devin, Kyle, Lyndon and some others run around the track. Some pretty fast young men for sure.
How about a bonfire for Sat evening? Just a thought.
We will be there for sure.

Let me see, if I was a landowner in Florida would I want to provide part of my land and my weekends so quads and bikes could have a place to ride? To me the tracks do not owe us anything but we owe them because without people like Lakeland, L-Cross, Amp, Waldo and so on where would we race mx? I could go on and on but I will leave it with this. I hope we have another large turnout so the tracks really want us to return.

I have a friend that owns about a thousand acres that borders on Royal Blue. To say it is breathtaking is a huge understatement. Miles and miles of logging and mining trails. All kinds of wildlife including newly reintroduced Elk and also a few rattlers and copperheads around every other turn. We ride mainly north of I75 and east of Stinking Creek Road. We have rode that area probably 6-8 times. Just be sure to take maps and compasses as it is very easy to get lost there. Have fun.

How about TM's new Rider Giovanni Colon?
I believe he would fall in that "others just as fast" category. There are more I did not name that I hope show up at the SSQSA.

Personally I do not know who is the fastest after Lawson. I do know if you put Matt, Devin, Chris B, Chris W, Josh, Jake, Jeffery, Neal, Lyndon and a few others just as fast on the same gate, it is going to be some great racing. Let's just hope everyone's quads and bodies hold up through the series. This series should make all these fine young men faster than they are today. Everybody get their video cameras ready or better yet come see it in person. Go SSQSA

We have several quads meeting at Lakeland tomorrow. We went today and they gave the quads equal time on the track. We hope some more can join us.
