Sunday and Friday are less crowded for obvious reasons. As far opening more than once a month's ladies at the front gate said the local authorities (i.e Commissioners, water management) will only give permits to open once a month. The time in between allows the vegetation to recover from the gas and toxins the vehicles leave, I never even thought about all of that. I also asked about the fenced areas's some hold cows and some are protected grasses and I guess wetlands.

Whenever I've been to C&R on a long weekend....Monday is the best day for family. Everyone seems to be winding down and packing up. It's a great day to ride with the least amount of traffic. I also know that the folks running C&R are already at the mudhole (Friday) so they can't reply to your questions. I saw numerous buggies and campers being towed Thursday North on 29.

According to the local paper, Glades County DOES have a fire ban in effect. They are a volunteer Fire Dept. and are on HIGH ALERT for fire danger. We don't want to cause undo attention to the Mudhole, some people don't like the idea of anyone having fun! I also found out that there will be Truck Pullsat C&R on Saturday at 3:00 -- Brad Conner is scheduled to sing at 5:30 and John Anderson at 9:00 Should be a FUN Mud event.

YES the Mudhole is still on for this weekend.....I spoke to one of the owners yesterday. 2 great bands will be there on Saturday night The Chase and Jake Murphy and Roughstock. I like to watch the beverage induced try to stay on the mechanical bull, that's always a good time. (my husband included)

How many will be staying home this weekend to conserve fuel? How many just can't afford to ride? Do you think it will be worth the trip to go to a Mudhole?

This place is fun...I always run into people I have'nt seen for awhile. You can spin your wheels and get covered in mud without the worry of a ticket or the cops impounding your ATV! There are some serious die hard 4 wheel drives out there! Some people just can't get enough mud or a big enough buggy! If you think the prices are too high then go sit in a dark movie theater for 2 hours for your fun. Mudholes are'nt for sissies or tightwads. Any good redneck worth their weight in Bud Lite would jump at the chance to spend the day in the woods 4 wheelin'.
