I have a skid plate I understnad I have to cut it? Will the link stick out or could I just shave down the skidplate?
i just cut out the part where the link goes and over to the right, but i left the part that the chain guide is on, so the skid plate sorta makes an L shape, but it works and the linkage is strong. i have the gt-thunder revalve and respring and the linkage on both 450r's that i have and its definitely way better over stock.(definitely worth the money)

as for the brand im not sure, but you can get +0.5 a-arms in long travel which would only make your quad a total of 1" wider in the front and you could keep your long travel shocks. some feel that is still too wide and also get 4-1 offset rims which ends up narrowing it down even more

Nice! You should invest in some 450r shocks, I heard they do wonders on a 400ex.
do they bolt up directly or is there modification needed? id like to get some and have them redone for my weight and type of riding. [/quote] yeah they bolt right up, gearhead400 got them on his 400ex and the only thing that rubs a tiny bit is at the top of the shock mount, it touches where the fender bolt goes, but it doesn't effect anything

That will be some total bs if I can't ride my 2 up atv at croom anymore. I may just end up selling it if that happens.
To ride double at croom the quad has to be designed to ride 2 from the manufacture (not from adding something on the back rack) so if you have a true 2 person quad then you shouldn't have any problems.

i have a 2005 trx450r that has over 2000 hours on it with just oil changes and valve adjustments, i had to replace the clutch after about 1200 hours and now after about 2000+ hours its started having a few problems but still original top end and bottom end. as for mods its 100% stock(including pipe and air filter) as for reliability, keeping the bike 100% stock motor wise it will usually last a lot longer if you keep up with the normal maintenance(ie. change oil and filter and keeping the air filter clean)

Chillin and Southern it actually wasn't that bad. I have only ridden MX track once before and I ended up getting 1st place in 400 c class, FINALLY! The woods were short and easy the hills weren't that bad just had to remember to slow down.the outback track was the worst cause they ran it backwards and there were a couple of HARD landing step downs. I had a little trouble of getting nauseas with all the water I drank during the race and the MX jumps weren't agreeing with me so I stopped drinking last half. I think Randall had the same problem, dang his luck, he was doin good again. Keep your head up Randall! I think it was overall a great track, short (7 laps in like 1hour 44 minutres) and a little to much MX but surely a different track for scrambles.
Thanks for helping me out when i was throwing up, i tried making it to the finish, but i just couldnt hold it long enough, 3rd would of been nice but at least i still got 5th

Wow! I saw you coming through the pits after the race and we all looked and said "holy crap!" You must be wore out today.
I'm a little sore, but nothing more than usual. Myakka is definitely by far my favorite track, and even with my bad luck i still had fun.

does hunting season effect croom
no, no gun hunting allowed in Croom, one ranger said that croom was open to bow hunters before and after riding hours, but that was about 4 years ago and haven't seen any out there since
