I can say my little Cocker Spaniel would have probably licked him to death but my GLOCK 23 would not have been so forgiving!!!!!!!!!

I went in to renew my trailer tags today. When the clerk was done I asked her about the new stickers for off road vehicles. She knew nothing about it but went to her supervisor. She documented that I registered my ATV in July and then issued me a green sticker with an yellow insert with my particulars on it. She charged me $4.50. The only thing I didn't ask her if there was a certain place to put the sticker on the ATV.

I want to thank you all for responding to my question. I thought the question would stimulate some good responses and it has. Out of all of the responses you can take some real good ground rules.
I know there are a few hunters out there as well as ATVers that are probably a bubble or two off plumb. I respect the rights of hunters to bear arms and enjoy their sport. I also respect the rights of riders.
A few years ago I was shot AT hundreds of times and a few hit their mark. I couldn't return fire as I would have given away my position. Today is an other story. I am out to enjoy my ride and not to be confrontational with anyone. Here's what I taken from all your answers for riding during hunting season, or any other time.
1. YOU NEVER KNOW WHO YOU ARE DEALING WITH.
2. Use common sense.
3. If your going to ride, do it in the middle of the day.
4. Stay home on Thanksgiving weekend.
5. Don't wear Aunt Bertha's antler hat. Wear bright colors.
6. If you hear gunshots, ride the other way.
7. If you are carrying and I do, it is still better to ride the other way and ride another day.
8. Try not to ride alone...I ride by myself and on Mondays so I don't run into the weekend warriors.
9. Be respectful of others and REMEMBER my RULE #1.
Thanks again for all your input.

Just got back from Zion and Bryce Canyons and a 3 day trail ride in and around Bryce Canyon. There is nothing that I can say that would approach the thrills I had. First day was 87 miles of trails from altitudes of 7800 to 11,500ft. really awesome. Rode on the Great Western Trail for a while. This trail runs from Canada to Mexico. The Trail boss made that whole trip on an ATV. Some of the Outlooks were a 3000 ft drops. Second day we trailered to Coral Pink Sand Dunes State park and rode in miles and miles of up to 300 ft dunes. I have riden in sand pits before but nothing like this. When you get to the top and see the shear angle of descent you say this machine and me will never make it. Third day we spent 107 miles of rocky trail riding in Black and Red Canyons.
I am in the process of printing out the digital photos. They don't really capture the views.
Heading back to the Vegas airport I did 2 days of Geocaching in St. Georges Utah and Mesquite Nevada. That was a hoot!!!
Trip of a lifetime...and yes it took me 65 years to do it.

I am a newbie on here and enjoy the site a lot. I do most of my riding by myself in Ocala on Mondays when it is quite. Next week I am flying to Vegas and driving to Zion and Bryce Canyon for a 6 day trail ride. Should be a HOOT. Will come back with pictures to post and a lot of memories.
