Sweetwater is a cow and a couple of hogs.
It's located just north of Arcadia and just east of SR17.
It's the same location as last years SADRA hare scrambles and can be accessed from the east through the backside of Highlands Hammock State Park.

I've heard the landowner is allowing for some more land to be used this year.
Should be a good course and SADRA runs a great event.

Watch for an event flyer on the FTR web-site in early Aug.

Both Series will be going this year with the intention of moving the Quads out of the existing one in the near future.

There just isn't enough room now to expand without the new series.

The new Series IS the Florida Trail Riders.
10  General / Racing Scene / Re: New Quad Scrambles Series in FLA!! on: June 14, 2005, 03:17:34 PM
The Series is typically held on land that is leased by the promoting club to hold the event. The work on laying out courses sometimes for weeks ahead and then open up the gates on race weekend for a structured event with specific practice times.

Some events incorporate portions of private MX tracks and their surrounding land like what is done at Gatorback and Seminole MX.

Unless you are a club member and helping to put on the event you usually can not ride there outside of the event.

With more and more riding areas being lost it pays to be a part of a race promoting club. Some of the best riding I get to do all year is in preparation and follow-up of the Deep South Hare Scrambles in Clewiston.

Join a club and help lay out trails. You make them any width you want.

50" is maximum width at all events.

The new Quad Scrambles Series, a part of Florida Trail Riders, is almost here!

With only one small vote remaining in August the Series is already beginning to take shape.
It will have PeeWee, Youth, Beginner, and Utility classes as well as Specialty Age, and the standard Displacement classes.

Five existing statewide clubs have already gotten in line to hold Sanctioned events and Five more are up for grabs to make a Ten race series.

Where are the Quad Only clubs?

Hurry on up and get organized to be a part of what could be one of the Premier, Quad Only!, Off-Road Series in the country!!

Go to www.floridatrailriders.org and click on the Board of Directors meeting minutes on the right side of the page for a complete look at the new Series.

This is what the Quad riders of Florida have been waiting for and wanting, will you be a part of it?
