Posting for information and prayers. Scott Smith had a heart attack, I believe on the 9th. Had to have a stint put in, having another stint done tomorrow, I believe. He's in the hospital in Tifton, ga. Talked to his wife yesterday, he was doing o.k., in ICU.Hopefully all will go well with the next stint, just asking all to include him in your prayers. Will update as soon as I get info. Thanks all.

Back to protest amount, if you don't have or are not willing to pay $200.00, you don't have enough money to run with the legal bikes. Gaskets or o-ring set = 30.00. person being torn down should make at least 100.00 for trouble, especially if legal. and if illegal, should have to pay, probably has more than 100.00 in illegal setup

Pretty sure we'll be racin with you all during the year, so just a suggestion about the rules. You say the rules are same as Hazlehurst, problem, rules in Hazlehurst aren't as posted on their website. for instance, swingarm rule says 2" extension only, but they allow aftermarket lightened since one of their "crew" uses one. Pipe rule says cpi inframes only, but they allow any in-frame drag pipe, again, their racers started using rdz, so any were allowed. You need to print out your rules on the site completely and make them official for at least a year. And after being torn down the last 3 races we were in, the $100.00 protest fee is not enough, it should be at least $200.00, or make it interesting with a $100.00 protest fee allowing the one being protested to bump the fee by up to $200 to $300 by immediately upon being notified of the protest by putting up an additional amount which must be matched by the protestor, in other words, put up or shut up.

We raced in Hazlehurst last night, with Daniel winning the pro stock class, consistently running the fastest times of the night. And, for the third race in a row, had the losers whining about cheating. In September, after a few months of not racing, Daniel came out strong and broke the class record each of his first three passes, destroying the record set by a Jesup rider by more than a tenth. That night, had our stoke checked. In October, Daniel again lowered the record but had it broken by Brandon on what was an incredible pass. After the race, Carl asked to ride the bike to make sure we didn't have an overide transmission due to someone complaining. We should have gotten the $100.00 protest fee on that night, but somehow the whiner, unknown to us, got out of it. November's race, why be surprised, another haulin ass, kick ass nite in the pro stock, and another protest. This time a complete cylinder removal to check for a legal crank and make sure we didn't have straight cut gears. It really is amusing, just aggravating at the same time. Th following is a post I made on 341 dragway web site, but it may be years before someone reads it there.
Had time to cool off since last night's racing, but still a little pissed, so here is my letting off steam. Ever since we have been racing in 2001, we have won and lost races. For a couple of years, racing was pretty equal as to equipment, set-up and racers. Now, there is still pretty much equality in equipment and set-up as seen by more than a couple of different bikes running a fast time on occasion; however, there is a big difference in riders. Daniel is obviously one of the best riders at the track right now, supported by the fact that not only is he fast, but consistently fast. We don't have the fastest bike, that would be nice, but Brandon, one heck of a rider, has the class record on a bike built by Carl. Cod is another of the best riders at the track. There is no doubt in my mind that you people that are losing, also known as losers, just need to learn to ride. Daniel will give classes to anyone wishing to get information on how to be a better rider, $50.00 each, but it is still up to the student to have the ability to comprehend the instructions and actually apply them while racing. Cod or Brandon would probably give classes also if asked. Otherwise, your option is to do what you falsely accuse us of doing, and cheating. As I was told when we were tearing down our motor for inspection, it's (I guess he was referring to cheating) part of racing. So I guess that's the type of people we are racing against, people who think they have to cheat to win. For 5 years now, we haven't had to cheat to win and we haven't always won. The only people we've had a problem with winning was some racers from Jesup the first of this year who outran Daniel in the stock banshee class, when challenged, we tore down the top three in the class, which ended up being only the top two because the third place racer quickly left saying he wasn't winning any money so there was no need to check his, pretty sure a copout because he was illegal as his buddy that won the class with a ported motor while our banshee was legal. Of course he was so stupid that he said he didn't think polishing the ports counted as porting, so I guess you could polish a bore to .100 over or more without calling it boring.
So to those of you who can't run the times Daniel run, practice, practice, practice, or let a real rider ride your machine. I'm sure Daniel could get up to 2 tenths of a second more from some of the bikes he outruns every race.

Was a hot day at the races. Not a large turnout, but good racin. One reason, Badcompanyracing returned to the pro stock class after travis finished with the dremel to set a new class record in each of our first three passes, awesome!! Daniel did an outstanding job after his layout from clutching and experiencing numerous monthly anniversaries ( he'll have to explain). Of course the public relations crew didn't miss an opportunity to promote and the race was finished with Daniel winning the class also. Tony also had a good nite setting 2 new class records. Can't wait for cooler nites to race in tho, and hope it brings out more racers.

All you fla boys comin to the race tomorrow, hope you all have a safe trip. For those of you coming up I-75, when you get to Ga, you are in lowndes county, no more than 9 to 10 miles above speed limit. Shireff's dept parks in median and will write tickets. Quickest way from Valdosta is to take Hwy 31 exit which is the valdosta, Madison exit and go thru Lakeland, Pearson, Douglas, to Hazlehurst. In Hazlehurst, take 341 East out of town until the highway turns from a wide 4-lane into a divided highway with a grass median. About 1 mile past dividing, raace track is on the left beside a Metal building. You have to travel a couple hundred yards past the track to get to a turnaround and come back to the track. Be seein u all there

Enjoyed the racin saturday. Nice seein all that came, hopin for bigger turnout next race. Nice job on the track smoke, like daniel said, smoothest yet. May need to work on shut down area a little, I saw the whole underside of your bike in the left lane after a couple of your passes. Hope you all keep smilin while your fingers are talkin. Sounds like we may need to close the track and put a 10X10 ring in. May even have a bigger crowd!! We could get some of those big sumo wrestler suits and have a go of it after each pass, if loser wins, loss is cancelled!! We'll probly see you all next month, maybe with some paddles so we can leave the line with you an not have so much space to make up. Til then, keep it in check or i'll have to kick all your a$$e$.
