1  General / Where to Ride? / Anybody ride Bostwick Creek lately? on: April 27, 2009, 05:29:20 PM
How would you rate this place? Which is more fun Bostwick or Hardrock?  I am really more interested in the 4 miles of trails and was curious if anybody has rode them this year. Thanks
2  General / Group Rides & Events / Re: Headin back to Durhamtown. on: March 31, 2009, 06:11:01 PM
Yea I went. I guess I picked the worst weekend of the year to ride. We also got rain checks but still stayed until Sunday.  Other than the almost dangerous amounts of water and mud, the 8hr drive, having to rent a raptor 350 for $160.00 because my RM250 decided to blow its rings, and only being able to ride one day because I was too wet and broke to afford to rent the next day, I guess the trip could have been worse.
3  General / Group Rides & Events / Headin back to Durhamtown. on: March 13, 2009, 11:46:04 AM
I am going back to Durhamtown with 8 others on the weekend of March 26 thru 29. Anybody else going to be up there that weekend? If so some, of us will be in the green acres and others will be in a 34ft weekend warrior rv. Look foward to meeting anybody. Take it easy.
4  General / Where to Ride? / Re: croom /OCALA BIG SCRUBB questions on: December 27, 2008, 09:56:19 AM
Last time I went to ONF they basicilly told me to not come back until I had a quieter muffler put on my bike.  My HMF system has a spark arrestor but they said it was too loud.  The ranger said next time I come back he told me to be ready for a DB check.  He said all trailhead rangers will have db meters soon. Also said if your tires have more than a 1" of tread depth you wont be allowed on the trails.  Not to sure if he was having a bad day or what but I am not making this up.  I am going to Croom to avoid a possible hassle.

Whats up! If I get a chance iam gonna head out on Sat cause iam on shift sunday. Ive never been out here. About how deep back into this area can I drive. I got a awd Denali pickup so deep mud is not for me. If its just sand and light 1 ft or less of mud I wont have any issues. If its to iffy for me to drive any tips on where to park?

8  General / Where to Ride? / SeaWorld? on: September 13, 2007, 08:39:18 AM
Anybody been there in a while? I used to go out here quite a bit but I havent been in about 7months due to dumba$$ activity.  Whats the word on the street about the police in the area?  Any info would be greatly appreciated cause iam going out there on this Sat.
9  General / Open Discussion / Re: High mileage on a diesel ? on: July 18, 2007, 11:24:36 PM
I just found the specs on a gm 6.5.  Look at gm-diesel.com.

rwhp=190 to 215

tourque=380 to 440

Although the GM 6.5 may be reliable and ive seen them come into my old job with 300k it seems to be a little under powered compared to most full size trucks.  The first thing to go will be the injector pump, not cheap even refurbuished.
10  General / Open Discussion / Re: High mileage on a diesel ? on: July 18, 2007, 10:55:55 PM
Ford V10 or Dodge V10, well it dosent really matter they are both junk.  I know the ford v10 is only good for 80k to 100k after that---well pretty much nothing.  Stick with the 7.3 powerstroke---bulletproof and worth the extra money.
11  General / Group Rides & Events / Re: Anyone up for HardRock this Sunday on: June 07, 2007, 08:19:47 PM

13  General / Where to Ride? / Opinions on Bithlo track please. on: June 07, 2007, 08:10:45 PM
Ive never been to the track out there and iam curious what people think about it.  The only tracks I have been to in Florida are Pax, Hardrock, and quick trax.  Pax was too crowded and a little out of my league.  Hardrock is fun due to the fact they have a choice of tracks, the roller coaster, and shade to park under,  but ive been there a bunch.  Quick Trax is a little far.  Iam a novice with a stock quad, is bithlo worth it?
14  General / Open Discussion / Re: Can-Am DS450 on: June 05, 2007, 07:21:14 PM
I like it.  Not the best looking quad ever but its nice.  From what I read its suppose the most powerfull 450 on the market.  If they price it right Id buy it.  I'll have to wait for a year or so.  FYI--dont ever buy something in its first year of production--odds are it will have issues.

18  General / Open Discussion / Re: Dealer in Tennessee? on: March 19, 2007, 05:40:21 PM
Even if that is the case, I still saved around $1700.00.
19  General / Open Discussion / Re: T2's new RIDE !!!! ? on: March 18, 2007, 10:47:32 AM
Hey T2. I must say in our line of work, as many people who we have shoveled off the pavement, Iam surprisied you have the gonads to get one. I did the same thing to scratch my itch and sold it a year later.  I had a harley so I didnt loose to much money.  Almost lost my life twice though.  Good luck, see ya around.
20  General / Open Discussion / Re: Dealer in Tennessee? on: March 18, 2007, 10:41:29 AM
I bought my polaris predator 500 from polaris of chattanooga who is the same company as southern honda.  I got mine for $5200 OTD. Thats about $2000.00 cheaper than any OTD price in Florida.  Sales people were great.  I cant speak for the southern honda delarship but the polaris dealership was tiny.  Also you dont have to pay any TN sales tax.  If you dont mind the drive id say its worth it.
21  General / Where to Ride? / Re: South Georgia or North Florida on: March 17, 2007, 07:21:07 PM
Please dont waste your time like I did unless you have to.  Save up, reschedule, or do whatever it is you need to do to get to Durhamtown.  If you havent been then you wouldnt understand, its just that much fun.
22  General / Where to Ride? / Re: Durhamtown or BroadRiver on: March 17, 2007, 07:17:33 PM
O and another thing, for you ute riders DP has miles of 4x4 atv only trails that are really fun. Also all trails are one way and EMS crews are on site at all times, very safe.
23  General / Where to Ride? / Re: Durhamtown or BroadRiver on: March 17, 2007, 07:15:08 PM
If it were me I would plan a trip to Durhamtown first.  Ive been 4x times in 2 years and I absolutely love it.  One standout thing about DP for me was the shop.  I broke my foot pegs off after my first hour of riding and had to get the bolts drilled out and replaced.  They did all of that on both sides for $30. Not only is that a bargain but it saved my trip.  Like I said before if it were me I would choose DP and maybe go to broad river next year or someother time. Also, check out Carolina Adventure World on the web, ATV action magazine states its the "atv park of the future". Ive never been there or know anyone who has, but it looks nice and has excellent reviews.
24  General / Tech Corner / Re: broken peg bolts/ez-out on: February 27, 2007, 11:43:27 PM
I did the very same thing. I ended up getting a tiny drill bit to fit under my broken ezout, i just kept drilling and drilling arround the ezout until I could fit a mini screw driver in there and wiggle the remainder ezout out.  This took me a long time, upwards of an hour but I eventualy worked it out.
25  General / Group Rides & Events / Durhamtown on Memorial Day weekend 24,25,26. on: February 24, 2007, 11:09:38 PM
Iam going to Durhamtown on May 24,25,26,and 27 with 4 others. Curious if anyone else is planing on being there on those days. If you do plan on going and are in need of  cabin rental, there are only 6 r.v.'s left as of today.
