Hey guys, My wife is an immigrant from Brazil and let me tell you that for us (going the legal way) it is very difficult, time consuming and exspensive to get everything done that needs to be done. My wife is one of the hardest working and patriotic people that you will ever meet. She wants to be an American, the thing that makes me sick is when immigrants come here and dont want to be American. There are too many that come here and dont want anything to do with our culture and language, that is what we need to fear - not legal immigrants that want to be here and be Americans. Have fun, Jim...

O.K. This is coming from someone that has owned Yamahas and Hondas and currently owns no atv (unfortunately), I really have to say that Yamaha is #1 at getting out technology and what people want, but I also believe that Honda is a better quality machine. If Honda built their version of a raptor I would buy it, but they dont so I am waiting for a 2006 model Raptor, unless things change? Have Fun, Jim....

Hello,
I have used my dads sporttrack several times and it is great! I have the color version that is nice, but certainly not worth the difference in price. If I had known more when I got mine I would have spent less money and got the regular sporttrack map. I do suggest getting the optional mapping software though. It takes a little while to learn how to use everything but you wont regret it.
Have Fun! Jim

OK now, I have looked through all the current atv magazines and am now looking for the best atv reading material. I tend to lean towards sport atv's, so I got a subscription to Atvsport mag, but I want to know what you guys in the know think.
Have Fun! JIm

Hey Miracle Man you sound like someone that I would love to hang with. But anyway, I'll have to say that I have had my share of sport street bikes(the most dangerous thing you can ride), dirt bikes(fun but not in deep sand & mud), and ATV's, the best thing ever created(cant think of anything negative)! So to put it bluntly, ATV's rule and everything else is too much of a hassle to be fun. Have Fun! Jim

Does anyone have an idea of how much you can get a small lot in River Ranch nowadays?
My dad had a couple of lots many many years ago when you could get them for a couple of hundred bucks each. But, he sold them because he said that the hunting wasnt all that good.
Great pics, looks like a good time! Thanks, Jim

Hello, I have a Magellan meridian color map that I would not travel without. My dad has a similar unit that is not color that works just as well, and his batteries last longer. I think any of the popular brands would be just fine, but I would suggest getting a gps that has a map and available mapping software. The maps really give you perspective of your location and I would have never found many of the small lakes, and streams just off the path without it.
Have Fun, Jim

I will certainly ride ONF again, its not very far. I had rode there once with my warrior. I think that I was at bigscrub, I was ridding alone and had never been there before. There was a campground there , but not much else, although I didnt go very far from the campground(because it was hunting season and alot of people walking around w/ guns). I could only find a fenced sandpit next to the road and endless flat trails. I know there must be more there and I WILL explore. Also now I have a gps so I'm not afraid of getting lost.
I was wondering if there is something closer to Orlando for those after work urges to ride? Thanks, Jim

General / Open Discussion / Should I Get AN ATV?

Hi Guys, (and gals), Well I without a doubt loved to ride, I have had atv's almost all my life, (I started with an atc 110 then various dirtbikes and a warrior, and I sold my Kodiak 4x4 about 1 1/2 years ago). I really miss riding but I live in orlando and hated to drive all the way to Croom just to ride for a few hours. Does anyone know of anywhere else to ride before I get another ATV. I know that I want a sport ATV, something 4-stroke maybe a Raptor, but open for change of mind. Please let me know where to ride and if I should get a Raptor or not. Thanks everyone, Jim
