I have to agree w/Rico. The Gestapo and the KGB used to use the same tactics. If I want to have a private conversation Big Brother should kave nothing to do with it. Especially if I'm bashing the government for any one of it's royal screwups. Freedom of speech is a delicate thing that can be used to your advantage or to put you in the gulag.

Not into gaming enough to do it for a living. Headaches are definitely a by product of being a manager. Looking more for something in Alabama.

General / Where to Ride? / Re: OCALA TRAIL SYSTEM and OPINIONS

I have to say that the trails I was on that were marked were in the process of being manicured and they were wider than 60 inches which was nice. My only complaint is that there are not really any destinations on the system. All the pits have no atv signs around them, and some of the best sites are off limits. Now I agree that rampant use of sand pits can be a problem, but what about at least one per trail system. Or make a technical riding destination for the guys that want to test or hone their skills and maybe a racing style trail for those that want to haul. You could use the diamond system that skiers use to guage the difficulty of downhills, 4 quads = a difficult trail one with technical obstacles and fast straightaways, 1 quad = a smooth easy ride thru the forest.

Anyone that says we need to send more troops to die is not thinking properly. We got enough people jumping our own borders everyday to consider it an invasion, bring the troops home and lock down the borders. Sending more of Americas youth to fight for a hidden agenda is not the course of action I would like to see.

It seems that your judging the forum members for stateing thier opinion and trying to find out the truth about a company policy that just happens to be about homosexual individuals.
As far as denying equal rights thats just not true. The majority of America could learn to get along with the gay people if all they wanted was equal rights, it seems to me that they want a special set of rules written just for them. And I bet if you were to ask some troops what they're fighting for, I'm willing to bet freedom of speech would be one of those things. I think fishaholic doth protest to much. Well folks, it's that time of year again. This year I'd like to offer my assistance to anyone that is forced to evac out of the south end or west coast of the state. I'm in Brevard, which is very much on the coast and still a dangerous place to be but it is about halfway up the state and I'm close to I-95 in a house with underground wiring and only a few trees. Anyone forced to evac is welcome to stay till it's safe to return home. Other than that, get you're supplies and keep your head down. Good luck this season everybody.

General / Open Discussion / What to remember BEFORE you get to the woods.

Went on a trek w/ a cool moderator today. Took me around and showed my family & friend some cool spots. About halfway thru the day, I hear ting tang tong coming from the motor. I figured the worst right away, blown up. I finally catch up to my tour guide and check my oil dipstick. DRY<DRY<DRY. Drier than a good martini. I either blew a ring or bent a rod, but if it hadn't been for Ida Man I would have been stuck. He graciously ran back to the trucks and got HIS oil for me because my oil was sitting in Rockledge w/the rest of my camping gear that normally goes to the woods w/me. Thank's to Ida Man From JWscroll & Familia. P.S. Remember to check your oil before you get 100 miles from your house.

Obviously no pro landscaper has answered your question, so here goes. I would recommend a good raking first to see what you've got to work with. A fertilizer weed control mix will burn up your yard this late in the spring. If you have more grass than weeds after raking, plug the yard with St, Augistine plugs, I recommend going to a sod farm for these not the local hardware store. Do Not Cut for at least two weeks. Water lightly for about 15 - 20 minutes twice a day for the first week, after that switch to every other day twice a day. The object is to keep the soil moist( not soaking wet), this give the root system something to search for and the roots spread out. Fertilize in 5 - 6 weeks with a low count fert such as 6-6-6 or 10-10-10 this will help to strenghten the grass without burning it up. During the late fall or early spring is when you want to throw weed & feed. Chleated Iron is a trick chemlawn companies use to green up the grass, just don't get it on anything you don't want to have a rust colored stain on. If you have more weeds than grass and you want to kill tha whole thing and start over, I would recommend a Professional Grade Roundup application. Let this sit for two weeks and kill, then all you have to do is rake the dead off the top and replant sod. When you order sod you need to know the square footage of the area you intend to cover( Lenght x Width = square footage).

The number of offenders in each group is about equal. The guy who said we need to stick together is right. However, I do agree that sport riders are getting alot of bad rap because ya'll have alot of bad riders. While in Ocala recently I saw a big group of sporties had a complete disregard for the rules or for the safety of the people around them, but I have also seen this type of behavior from the ute ridin redneck's out in the swamp.

What Do I Have? Don't understand, but hear goes. I help operate a commercial lawn maint. company whose main focus has been lawn maintenance, not install. Thus the questions. Trying to keep from laying people off due to decreased revenue. Anyone in Apopka ever hear of a company named Florida Outdoor Impressions? Another lawn and landscape company.
