General / Tech Corner / Polaris snorkel Kit
|
on: December 13, 2006, 08:15:04 PM

A friend of mine has a 04 700 sportsman and wants to get a snorkel for it. Does anybody know of any company that sells them? I looked aroundand have found kits for just about every other bike. Any help would be appreciated.

That is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. When they do order your parts they never call when they get in. Then theyy re usually wrong. They take several months to complete simple warranty work. From now on i am gonna buy all my parts from bikebandit.com and do all the work myself.

In Palm Beach county you need to have 4 years in the trade to get your license if you go to an apprenticeship school, if not it is 6 years in the trade. Unless you know someone with a masters license to lie for you. I will have my 4 years on August 23 and will be taking my test soon.

how much would a lift cost and do i have to get one to make them fit
You can buy a lift kit from rocky mountain atv. It is a highlifter lift kit but it is about $10 cheaper from them than it is from highlifter. I think i paid $89 for mine and they are easy to install.

I never had a problem until my battery died. I had to pull start my bike and the cord never retracted. So I took it apart and cleaned it up. That is when the problem started.

Highlifter sells a replacement recoil starter for all hondas that keeps it from leaking. I have a 04 with a snorkel. I never get water in the oil but it sputters when i get out of the water and i never could figure it out. Come to think of it one time i was washing it i sprayed water in that area and it started missing. Mabey i will have to give that a try.

I have vampires and i like them, but my girlfriend has outlaws and iu think i will definantly get a set of them next. Check out those asx's i dont think that the tread is as deep a vampire. They were made for maxx traxx and only have side lugs on one side of the tire. I thought about gettin them at one time.

Me and my girlfriend used to ride together on mine. We are about the same size. 2 people will fit fine if you get one of those cushioned rack bags but with the rancher only having one rear shock it wore out fast.

You will probobly be able to fit 2 bikes on it. My trailer is 6' x 10' and i have to pick up the back end of my ranchers over the rail to slide them sideways. only one will fit straight on. To get 2 bikes they both have to be sideways.

With all the terrorist scares and high security levels there is no way we will ever be allowed to be out unattended on a military base.

I have one of the warn 424's on each of my bikes. It makes it easier to turn and it is a lot more fun to ride. you can fishtail and what not and also have more fun in the mud. They are pretty easy to install and are in my opinion the best mod that i have made on my bikes.
