2  General / Open Discussion / Re: GAS PRICES ARE RIDICULOUS on: April 15, 2005, 09:58:41 AM
But that just goes to show ya. Look at how many times this thread has been read, d@mn near 400 time's and there is only 3 pages of replyes to this topic, and most of them are from the same people. SPEAK UP PEOPLE, YOU HAVE A VOICE!!!!!! dont read this and make comments about how we are right, put your 2 cents in. I would like to see this thread with well over 40 pages.
3  General / Open Discussion / Re: GAS PRICES ARE RIDICULOUS on: April 15, 2005, 09:54:16 AM
no kidding, thats just insane. Imagine that, Kuwait City $0.78, the same people that we get out gas from and we pay over $1.35 more for the same gas!!!!! sounds a little shady to me.
4  General / Open Discussion / Re: GAS PRICES ARE RIDICULOUS on: April 14, 2005, 10:03:09 PM
LMAO no sh!t the only ford suv that get 15/19 is the escape. I just get mad when people want to gripe and complain, saying this and that should happon, but thoes same people will cower behind there SUV'S when its time to do something about it. Everyone is so adamite about rideing to preotest against rideing place closures, but no one will stand up for this. I meen what the hell, Do people not care about the gas it takes to get to there rideing pace, and then the gas it takes to ride?Huh? LETS LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE!!!!!!!!!!
5  General / Open Discussion / Re: GAS PRICES ARE RIDICULOUS on: April 14, 2005, 11:40:16 AM
no offence big-daddy but that is a crappy thing to say. We are not other countries, thats why we get to choose who is in office and we get to vote on many other things that affect us. Other countries money is actually woth something as well, out dollor isnt woth sh!t these days. And with money hungry a$$ hole's that are running this country and spending OUR money on stuped sh!t, its only going to get worse. The gas prices are a combonation of OUTRAGOUS taxes and price gouging a$$ hole's. Lets try to leave other countries out of this, WE are the ones to go help everyone when something happens to there sh!tty little countries, but when something happens to US, where are they?Huh? we export goods to them at dirt cheep prices, but WE pay top dollor to them for there crap, i.e. GAS. times need to change and only we can make a difference.
6  General / Open Discussion / Re: GAS PRICES ARE RIDICULOUS on: April 13, 2005, 03:54:54 PM
Its all a bunch of horse SH*T, everyone wants to Bit*ch and complain about gas going up, but no one wants to stand up for want is right and wrong anymore. What about the thread about everyone from south Florida on up, driving 45 miles an hour to protest rideing area closures, by the time 4000 truck and trailers gett there there will be a sign hanging up thanking everone for there contrubition!!!!!!  Lets get a grip people, back in the 70's and 80's SH*T got done becuse people stood up for what they thought was right. You want to make an impact on gas prices?Huh MARCH ON BROTHER, remember the million man march?Huh How about all of florida walk for to protest??? The idea about not buying gas for a day is the most insame thing i have ever heard of!!!!! Gas comp's will stand back and giggle there bellys that are full of money at you. Its sounds like someone isnt thinking straight. If everyone that grumbled about gas prices would stand up for them self, GAS WOULD COME DOWN!!!!! I own a bike, and can ride to work in about 45 minutes. Now if everyone that lives clost to work would ride there bike to work, that would eliminate 70% of cars on the road during the day. Now 2 SLOID MONTHS of that crap, just in florida, and we would see a dramitic drop in gas prices, and we would most likely all feel better after that time. I know its not possable for everyone to not drive to work, but for everyone who it is possable for, stand up for your self.
7  General / Open Discussion / Re: Where to buy gas on: March 29, 2005, 01:35:42 PM
Ok so tell us Kawgirl, since you work for the a$$ holes, not takeing a stab at you!!!! What do we do to thorw that preverable wrench in there gears?Huh Tell me how so it can get done, I cant take much more of this price for gas, and there saying its going up to $3 soon. I really feel sorry for the man/woman that has to drive ther own car for there work.
8  General / Open Discussion / Re: I say it is time to Protest. on: March 29, 2005, 09:39:34 AM
I agree, ALL CLUBS should join, we all have a voice. National Club Protest Day, Its kinda got a lil ring to it. Get the NRA, NHRA, DUCKS UNLIMITED, BASS MASTERS, ATV DEALERSHIPS BOAT DEALERS, 4 WHEEL PARTS, AUTO CLUBS, AMERICAN RACEING, ADVANCED AUTO PARTS, AUTO ZONE. Get the point, THERE IS POWER IN NUMBERS PEOPLE. Lets start right now, I wiould say it would probably take at least 2 months to get this kinda mass gathering together. I will make flyers and pass them out, ill also post a copy of it on here for others to print and pass out. Who ever has ties with the clubs, get with them and we can set a date to do this thing. I say 1st weekend in june, saturday can be anual MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY!!!!!!!
9  General / Open Discussion / Re: I say it is time to Protest. on: March 29, 2005, 08:23:48 AM
i HAVE A GOOD IDEA, there are soooo many clubs around, Im a member of EXTREME JEEPS OF NORTH FLORIDA, there is also the JACKSONVILLE MUSTANG CLUB and the CORVETTE CLUB and the TOYOTA SCION CLUB and the RICE BURNERS CLUB and this club and that club. How about a HUGE SHOW of the power of the people on hwy 17 across the bridge towards Eagle Harber area. There are sooo many clubs that could line the side of the road and support there cause, be it GAS PRICES or RIDEING PLACES. We can break out the BBQ grill and weiner waggon's and the music man and have a big car and atv show right on the side of 17. And while we are there place your sigh on the ride of your choice supporting your cause. There are 2 VERY big issues haunting all of us today. I know most of us have ties to these clubs. Lets do this
10  General / Open Discussion / Re: I say it is time to Protest. on: March 29, 2005, 08:14:33 AM

11  General / Open Discussion / Re: Where to buy gas on: March 29, 2005, 07:53:34 AM
Hey guys, I dont claim to be a know it all, but I have done MUCH reserch on this issue because i am just inflamed about theis issue. Since 1982 the cost of gas has not gone up, IT HAS fluctuated 1-3 cents but nothing to constiute the outragous prices we are paying. Ever heard the old saying? The rich just get richer?Huh? this is the sole responsability of the GAS companys raising prices not the towel heads!!! And no one claim price gouging because they can claim that oil prices have gone up. ITS ALL PUBLIC INFO PEOPLE, if you know where to find it you can buts there balls real hard. The people need to stand up against these money hording a$$ holes and do something, and NO i dont meen the "dont buy gas for a day" That is the biggest joke I have ever heard of. The gas companys just laugh at us if that ever would happen. Lets all not eat for a day, then we will pig out the next day, see where im going with this?Huh WE ALL not just ATV members, have to do something, not florida but the better part of the USA. And it doesnt meen going to washington and protesting. It meens standing up for whats right. Remember what your daddy told you when you were 16 and over thinking things? KISS!!! keep it simple stuped!!!! a simple show of the PEOPLE would make a HUGE impact!!! everyone get a sign, and get with your friends and neighbors and line the streets, your MAJOR streets, just stand with your friend holding your feelings on your shoulder. I GUANRENDAMNTEE you with the media attention the would come from 3 thousand people standing on the side of the road would get the presedents attention. DO SOMETHING PEOPLE, grumbling and complaning about it will do nothing, we cant stop buying gas, bills have to be paid. It would be awesome if we could convince everyone to just stop working for a week. ALL EMPLOYES OF EVERY JOB!!! UPS< USPS< GAS COMPANYS< MORTGAGE COMPANYS< EVERYONE, but no one will do it and thats cool, but lets make a stand. If someone rips up off at the steak house you would complain, LETS DO SOMETHING!!!

Im not one for a war, but if its warented, then BRING IT!!! Thoes tree hugging hippie ba$terds was to steal and plunder from our hard earned things? Let them!!!! Im seroius, set them up, and leave a couple out there with some hard hitting paint ball guns, and leave some stuff that someone wouldnt mind loosing, and GET IT DONE!!!!!! make them work for there supper. Hell, ill donate a tooll box with some junk tools in it just to get it started. And the good thing about paint balls, if you hit them with enough the might TAKE A BATH!! and therefor we have bettered there lives lol.

14  General / Open Discussion / 2008 Election Issue!! Everyone needs to read this on: February 17, 2005, 10:18:40 AM
Why wait till the 2008 Elections – Let’s push it now while they are talking about Soc. Security!

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU ARE REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT!

2008  Election Issue!!

GET A BILL STARTED TO PLACE ALL POLITICIANS ON SOC. SEC.
This must be an issue in "2008 ". Please! Keep it going.

----------------------------------
SOCIAL SECURITY:
(This is worth reading. It is short and to the point)

Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years.

Our Senators and Congresswomen! do not pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect from it.

You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of their rare elevation in society.   They felt they should have a special plan for themselves. So, many years ago they voted in their

own  benefit plan .

In more recent years, no congressperson has felt the need to change it. After all, it is a great plan.

For all practical purposes their plan works like this:
When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die.

Except it may increase from time to time f or cost of living adjustments..

This is calculated on an average life span for each of those two Dignitaries For example, Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may expect to draw $7,800,000.00 (that's Seven Million, Eight-Hundred Thousand Dollars), with their wives drawing $275,000.00 during the last years of their lives.

Younger Dignitaries who retire at an early age, will receive much more during the rest of their lives.

Their cost for this excellent plan is $0.00 . NADA....ZILCH...

This little perk they voted for themselves is free to them. You and I pick up the tab for this plan. The funds for this fine retirement plan come directly from the General Funds:

"OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK"!

From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid) into,-every payday until we retire (which amount is matched by our employer)-we can expect to get an average of $1,000 per month after retirement.

Or, in other words, we would have to collect our average of $1,000 monthly benefits for 68 years and one (1) month to equal Senator! Bill Bradley's benefits!

Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made.

That change would be to:
Jerk the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from under the Senators and Congressmen. Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of us .
then sit back.....
and watch how fast they would fix it.

If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe good changes will evolve.
