It's my favorite. Now that croom has been grooming trails, the north trails have been awesome though. I don't mind croom at all for a day trip - I love it. For an overnighter though, Ocala takes the nod imo.

Where would you recommend camping Sunday night?

Not really looking for directions, just want to see my location and heading off I lose myself in the forest.

I have an old android phone that I want to use in the forest with Google Earth as a basic GPS. Is there a way I can download the map of central Florida, so it doesn't have to use internet? It has a GPS, so I know it'll work out of cell signal, but I'd like it to plot me on Google Earth. It's still a good phone, old HTC 4G LTE. I could easily wire up a power thing to the ATV, with a RAM Mount, and run it all day. Thoughts?

Darn. I was really hoping to ride the whole forest. Where can you get to the most long, straight, whoop free trails?

Hi guys. Just wanted to post up, so if on the off chance anyone had the time off, they could go. I'd like to do a solid day of riding on Sunday the 15th. Take down tent in the morning of the 16th, then maybe a couple hour ride before heading home around 2.

I've ridden north a few times in the hog valley area. I'm not sure where we'll camp, but most likely Lake Oklawaha/Ft mccoy koa. I want to check out the dam, then ride south until I hit the end of the forest. Normally when I'm up there I'm with friends and it's a great social time. If no one else beside my son and I go, I think we're going to simply explore until we run out of fuel. Anyone interested?

Furthermore, can you get to ONF south by atv, or do you have to trailer at some point? Thanks!

I could be down for Sunday. I don't think I'll be able to ride super fast though, I'll have the little guy, so we'll prolly be tapped around 20mph. I'm also good for Croom if you decide to go there instead. ONF is kinda far to roll to unless I'm camping...

I'm back! I never have weekends off, and got tired of taking my stuff to croom, so I sold both mine and the wife's. My 6 year old finally figured out how to ride a bike without training wheels, which was the point I was waiting for to get him a quad. He's been out 7 times or so, and doing fantastic! So I might have picked up another raptor too! Hahaha. Camping soon for sure. I actually have the weekend before Christmas off, but that's the last for a whole. I have to make the most of it.

I'll be out there too. Any way to get a couple of you all's numbers? I'll be there about ten.

I'll be in a black '02 Suburban with black american racing wheels pulling an open 6x12 utility trailer. I have room for one more quad if someone wants to throw in a few bucks for gas.
