1  General / Open Discussion / Re: ITP Mayhem tires on: January 31, 2013, 08:39:46 PM
Mudlites sound allot more like what you are looking for. I had a set on one of my old bikes and they were great.
2  General / Open Discussion / Tire Recommendations on: January 22, 2013, 08:43:42 PM
Hey guys, I've been out of the loop for about two years now. Haven't had a bike or time or even been in the state to ride but I'm trying to get back into it. Bought myself a 2013 Kawi BF650i and im looking to do some work to it. Right now my main issue is tires and I'm torn between the Highlifter Outlaw MST's and ITP Mudlite XL's (both 28s). I'm going to be back and forth between North Carolina and north Florida and plan on riding a few different trail types. Contrary to my username, I won't always be in the mud. If you guys had any experience with either of these tires I'd appreciate the input. Also, do you guys have any super secret places to get tires/rims. I know if I choose the Outlaws I gotta go with Highlifter, but I'm still planning some other mods, so any sites would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
3  General / Open Discussion / Re: best sport quad for a beginner woman (automatic preferred) on: February 20, 2011, 08:45:20 PM
A Polaris Trailblazer or a Scrambler (4x4, selectable), great auto bikes.  I have had my 2003 400 Trailblazer, with no troubles at all.  They make them in 250s and 500s now.  The Scrambler is only in 500.  It handles pretty much like a sport bike!

I agree. Those are good bikes. Fully auto and they make good power. My brothers is pretty damn fast. But its also smooth delivery. Great first time bike. Also not too expensivie because there is a decent amount of them for sale.
4  General / Open Discussion / Re: screw nc im commin back to the sunshine state be there in lil over 2 weeks!!!!!! on: February 05, 2011, 09:55:30 PM
Agree with you there. I just spent an entire month up there in the field for a combat training course for the marines. Most cold miserable month I can remember. Sun never comes out, always rains or snows.... Garbage. Good decision to come back down here!
5  General / Tech Corner / Some 360 Prarie Issues on: December 19, 2010, 08:53:40 PM
Hey guys I got an 04 Kawasaki Prarie 360 4x4. Its had 2 main issues after riding all weekend and im not 100% on what to do about them. First of all its starting to smoke like a lawnmower. Ran it low on oil yesterday and I think its going to need a rebuild. My question is whats the best way to go about doing that. Who sells what I would need to get that done and how hard would it be to bore it out some to like mabye a 400? Has anyone had any experience with rebuilding these bikes? I know they are supposted to be reliable and so far its been 100% tough as nails but I dont know if doing that will cause problems.

My second problem is the front diff is not locking. We put new seals in it awhile back and the guy that did it said the clutches were still good in it. But now its not locking. The mechanic at the local powersports shop said something about the computer being bad. He mentioned a module under the seat that controls it and since it might be bad it wont lock no matter what. I didnt really catch what he ment but I got enough to know the bike has a few sensors that like work off one another like the engine braking one (thats disconnected) and some others. He said if they arent all working then the computer doesnt know what to do or something. Not real sure what all that means. If someone could mabye shed some light on how these bikes actually work that would be cool. That way I would kind of know what I need to do to get my bike back to real 4wd instead of 3 1/2.

Anyway thats what I got for now. Im sure I left some needed information out so please let me know what I need to add to help fix the problem. Thanks for the help and take care.

Im waiting on the news report here in about a week or so when the broncos hire him as their head coach and tebow makes a miraculous jump to starting quarterback. Well that might be a little much but I whole heartedly expect them to hire Urban here soon.

8  General / Open Discussion / Re: 440 ex that will upset you 450s on: July 14, 2010, 10:43:15 PM
Bring it on! I've got a spider monkey I trained to ride a 1982 ATC 185s with an 09' Busa engine.....

I hope you left the big knobby balloon tires on it. I would be disappointed otherwise.
9  General / Open Discussion / Re: Do Iphones swim? on: June 17, 2010, 03:43:20 PM
Thanks for all the help guys! I did what you guys said and killed it and threw it in a bag of rice. Let it sit for about 2 days and so far it seems to be working ok. The speakers are sounding normal again and the screen is solid. The only thing that seems to be wrong is the ipod wont play music without headphones. The volume bar disappears unless there are headphones plugged it but its fine i guess. Beats spending 400 on a new phone. Appreciate the help guys, thanks.
10  General / Open Discussion / Re: I feel sorry for Ford sales people right now on: June 16, 2010, 02:12:42 AM
well as far as that goes.... the government has all the tech in the world.... they did have megatron frozen ya know  Shocked

LMAO  Cheesy

Well I don't know how much is already developed and just not available, but I know that when  we needed an A bomb and the whole country went to work on it. What we need now is cheap, renewable, alternative fuels - There needs to be a national effort to get it done. I love my truck but 14-15 MPG still stucks !

Lol i've got an '86 f-150 with the 5.0 in it and I get a whopping 8mpg. 15 would be a dream come true for me.
11  General / Open Discussion / Do Iphones swim? on: June 16, 2010, 02:10:32 AM
Hey guys I think I'm at a lost cause here but I figure it wont hurt to ask. My iphone got drown tonight. I was playing basketball with it out of my pocket on the hood of my truck around dark, came inside and forgot about it and of course some random ass thunderstorm hit at 11:30 at night. I mean its expected at 2 in the afternoon but 11:30? Anywho phone got drenched and now the battery cant make up its mind if its dead or not, the speakers barley make any sound, the screen is doing a little flickering, and it keeps saying this device isn't compatable with iphone and wants to turn airplane mode on. Don't know exactly what that is, but I know I don't want it turning into a 747 in my living room. Knowing what this thing can do, its not so much of a stretch.

So am I just screwed every which way to sunday? Like can you somehow open it up and let it dry out or what, or am I out a few hundred dollars? Any help is appreciated, thanks.
12  General / Where to Ride? / Re: hastings sat 4-3 on: April 05, 2010, 02:46:04 PM
We were there saturday also. Had allot of fun. We found an awesome place near the creek under the powerlines. That stuff was awesome. Rode it down for almost a mile and a half before it dried up. Our group was a blue sportsman, red honda with aftermarket rims and tires, and a red prarie with black snorkels if anyone saw us.
13  General / Open Discussion / Re: Tide Wins on: January 08, 2010, 01:28:20 AM
I tell ya, to be honest, if Colt stays in the game, i think texas wins and wins big. Bama looked like crap pretty much. Took them an entire quarter to get on the board against a big 12 defense. Then theres a streak where their QB goes 4/22 with 2 ints and they barley took any advantage of it? Only reason you guys won at all was luck. It was a 3 point game untill that fumble and easy points. That and not to mention that right before half fluke ass interception. If you guys would have played like that florida would have beat the  stew out of you guys. Ah well, wins a win eh?
14  General / Where to Ride? / Re: SAND BOX FOUND IN SO GA!!! on: November 18, 2009, 12:25:13 AM
They are cool with camping.

Made a trip up there last weekend. Had a blast. Brought along a buddy who had not been before now he doesnt want to ride anywhere else! They are charging $10 per person on weekends but its so worth the money. The water was at about the perfect level. Most of the sand pits were almost or completley dry. Rode the creek for a few hours. That was allot of fun. Drowneded our buddys new honda out to the point where there was water in the cylinder up to where the spark plug was. Just had to see how deep it was... Sad

Anyway just wanted to keep everyone informed of the happenings up there. If you live anywhere near this place its worth the trip. We drive almost 2 hours to get there and its worth every second of driving. They have cool trails, nice sand and all the mud you can handle. If you havent been up here its worth a look.
15  General / Open Discussion / Re: Ocala forest OHV Jamboree on: November 08, 2009, 11:09:50 PM
Its not just a few. The whole trail is one big seciton of them. It may be all fine if you have a YFZ450 with suspension designed to just fly over them. Its a different story when you drive a heavier utility and have to ride them for hours on end. Its also less than enjoyable after about 5 minutes of them non stop.

Also, mabye they would have gotten a bigger turnout if everyone didnt have to buy some stupid expensive sticker to ride there in conjunction with fuel costs, food, and place to stay considering you dont live there. I mean, its just not worth it anymore. It was back in the day but now im not going to pay all that money to come out and ride the same 6 dusty trails ridden out with whoops when I can just drive an extra 30 minutes somewhere else and not have to deal with all of that.

16  General / Open Discussion / Another Computer Question on: November 02, 2009, 11:22:08 PM
Hey guys I had a virus problem a few weeks back that seemed to clear itself up after awhile. I put a topic up about it and you guys pretty much answered it but now im starting to have a few wierd little glitches with it again.

The most annoying problem so far is that im starting to get blocked out of search engines. Things like google and yahoo either wont come up at all or they will load and when I search something it just sits there and loads then stops responding. Im using firefox as my browser and I just updated it. I also have the latest version of Webroot spysweeper and it is not picking up any viruses. It seems mostly isolated to search engines. Occasionally they will work but i'd say 85% of the time they dont.

So my question bascially is what is going on here? Would a virus be causing this or is it something else? Possibly the DNS cache or something along those lines? As always any and all help is appreciated. Thanks.
17  General / Open Discussion / Re: Welcome back Favre on: November 01, 2009, 10:17:48 PM
*Sigh*  Can we agree on anything?

I dont remember all that exaticly. All I know is the guy worked his ass off for 17 years for them and all he gets is boos? Some of the fans they talked to said that they threw away his packer stuff. Just seems wrong to me. I dont think you can blame him for getting NY's coach fired. Coaches get fired all the time. I bet jacksonvilles del rio is gone at the end of this year.
18  General / Open Discussion / Welcome back Favre on: November 01, 2009, 08:02:56 PM
I just kinda needed to say this here. I might be alone in this thought but I think Brett Favre is getting a load of crap he does not deserve from the Green Bay fans. I mean you are talking about a guy that came there and won them a super bowl. He gave what like 17 years of his sweat, blood and tears to them. Probably made them more money then they could have ever paid him in any contract. Then, to top it all off they ran him out of there. THEY ran HIM off! Its not like he woke up one morning and picked up the phone and was like hey guys see you later im going to go play for our arch rivals. They flat out said sorry brett we dont want you around here anymore. So I guess he was just supposted to retire and go away forever to hang out on his ranch every day and move hay bails for the rest of his life. I mean does it somehow make him a bad person for wanting to still play. Also, why does it matter that he is playing for minnesota? He is a great fit there. So what if they are your rivals. That in no way gives you any right to boo and hiss at the guy that actually made your franchise relevant again.

I dont know, it just seems like its a total pile of crap that he gets when he did nothing wrong. Im glad he beat the stew out of them. Put up I think 4 TD passes. I kinda got off his bandwagon for bit during that retired then not fiasco but now that he is settled im glad he is going well. Anyway anyone feel different about this? Agree? Id love to hear some thoughts about this.
19  General / Open Discussion / Re: Need computer help on: October 15, 2009, 04:26:25 PM
Ok just an update I swept the computer today twice. Once it found the same 3 usual problems. I did the usual quarantine and all that then swept again expecting them to come back up but they didnt. Restarted it and so far so good. Do you guys think I should still take it in to bestbuy and have it wiped anyway or you think im ok?
20  General / Open Discussion / Need computer help on: October 14, 2009, 11:45:41 PM
Hey guys I could use a little advice regarding my computer. About 3 weeks ago the computer im on right now got a pretty wicked bad virus. My anti-virus program (webroot) called it Wimad-N and Wimad-E. Also something called rogue security products were found. I swept it a few times and the problem was very reoccuring. It kept throwing popups on my computer and asking me to download some other anti-virus program that I knew was not legit. It was also locking me out of most basic programs such as taskmanager and whatnot. I tried sweeps and stuff and even tried a system restore checkpoint but nothing worked so I just closed it and didnt touch it for 3 weeks. Today I got it out and was backing up my files onto an external hard drive and I noticed that the virus wasnt doing anything. No popups or anything. It seems just like everything is normal.

Ok so I know that it cant just disappear. But what is the deal? I was going drop it off at bestbuy and have them wipe the computer for 130 dollars but im starting to wonder if I need to pay that money? Should I just do it anyway to be on the safe side? Has anyone had this problem in the past? Any advice or help is appreciated. Thanks.

21  General / Where to Ride? / Re: Eurika borrow pit on: October 12, 2009, 01:09:48 AM
Yeah we used to ride in there years and years ago. Probably been about 5 or so now. That place was really fun. Big open pit surrounded by trails. We used to park at rodman and ride right into that first pit. Then go through the trails and pop out at that long gravel road. Play in the pit then hit MOB on the gps and just ride.

Opening this would be a great idea. Nice place to test your bike and let off some steam. Good point about it possibly cutting down on trail abuse. It  might also attract more would be riders to the area that wouldnt come otherwise just to ride trails.
22  General / Open Discussion / Re: Exclude Political Topics From Recent Topics on Home Page? on: October 07, 2009, 08:26:22 PM
I agree. I think this will help to keep people happy with the section being around.
23  General / Open Discussion / Re: Monday night football should be a barn burner folks!!!!!!! on: October 06, 2009, 09:50:32 PM
I think it wound up being like the most watched monday night football game ever or something. Around 28million watched it. I mean favre is great and all but you gotta give credit to aaron rodgers. He got sacked like what 8 times and still had his team in it in the 4th quarter. One of those 2 onside kicks bounce their way and they are in a position to win it. Im tellin ya this guy is going to be something special.
24  General / Open Discussion / Re: I actually went riding ! ! ! on: October 06, 2009, 09:39:06 PM
Went out saturday. Had allot of fun. Front end is tore up in the bike. 4wd only works when the front tires arent under strain. If it gets in deepish mud or something like that it quits. Useful I know. Anyway more stuff to fix and whatnot. I dont get all the hate on politics. I ride every weekend with my family and friends. Then at night during the week or whatever I like to get on and discuss politics. Not impossible to do both.
25  General / Open Discussion / Re: cost of some street signs on: September 22, 2009, 08:54:07 PM
I know what you mean. There is one on US1 near a neighborhood I pass by allot that says "Drive safely". There is one on both sides of the road. It made me think, well gee, I was planning on punching it and driving 77 through this red light then powersliding into the starbucks and if the truck was still moving point it back out into traffic. Well, I guess that plan isnt going to happen. Stupid sign ruining my day... Bang Head

If you want to look for budget cuts, check crap like this out and stop taking it from schools and pensions of firefighters and police.
