Receiving stolen merchandise and changing VINs? Those don't sound like good ideas.
I guess you didnt see or read the question. He found the quad it was not reported stolen>>> Ummm... Gato. I'm sure it wasn't delivered there by mistake... or "fall off a truck". I'm just stabbing the dark here but I think it might have been stolen and left there. Therefore... yes, the right thing to do is call the police and try to get it back to the owner. If it were my ATV I would be PISSED and want it back as I am sure anyone would. I stand behind my friends decision to do the right and legal thing. But that's just me. And YES... I saw and read the question... I POSTED it! LOL.

Drive your car or truck tire as close to the bead as possible while the ATV tire/wheel is laying on the ground. It pops right off the bead. Make sure to remove the valve stem first.

General / Open Discussion / ATV LAW?

A friend of mine found an abandoned ATV in the woods. The Sherriff was called and the ATV was towed. An initial check to see if it was stolen. Nothing was found. Can my friend claim the ATV if no owner is found? If so how does the process work in Florida?
Thanks

It's called Rancho Bonito and it is all private property. The FWC cruises it because they have had trouble with shootings and Poaching.

I was in an airplane coming back from up north. I looked out the window and saw it. I HAD to search around on Google Earth to find it. Once I found it I was creeped out. Yes, it does have crop circle looking rings. If anyone that uses Google Earth wants the KMZ file leave me your e-mail address.

Hi Chero!
Yes, it is a serious question. I've been thinking about it and maybe it is an area for Forestry Firefighting gear storage. You can see 7-8 planes in the area on a runway.

What is the "no public access" area in ONF? I found it while looking at Google Earth. It is at the intersection of NF 584 amd NF 595? It has some weird looking stuff.

Why doesnt the state buy it with all the money they have been collecting from us for titles? But of course if the state owned it they would close it to humans...

We used to run our snow machines across open water. They go great! Don't stop though. We also use to grass drag. We mixed up some soapy water and poured it on the inside of the track and off we went. No slider meltdowns.

I know there are a hundred reasons why this can't happen... but when I ride down the interstate and see and the empty land on each side it really makes me think "what if?" Keep in mind that the large spaces are right of ways and are owned by the state for further expansion. Imaging going trail riding for hundreds of miles. Northbound side for northbound ATV traffic and southbound for southbound ATV traffic. Just me thinking....
On a "more likely" note. I too have thought about the Greenways and Rails to Trails projects being a natural for an ATV trail.
How come in Florida... a republican state... this doesn't happen but in the northeast... a democratic (read tree hugger) state it is happening now and has been for years?
