It looks like I have a transmission problem with my 05 Suzuki King Quad 700 EFI. I am looking for a reputable shop to do the work on the trans. I am in Tampa. Maybe someone on this forum has experience with a mechanic that knows suzuki's? Thanks for any help-EZ

yep, I melted the outside lugs on the mudlite XL's. I like running 4 pounds in them with the beadlockers on there. But it is not that bad. The Dust was not Terrible, but is was as bad as croom is on any day. I now know that I have one of the defective K&N airfilters that does not fit properly. I ordered a Twin air today and have sent the required emai and picture to K&N to get the new filter.

The riding is what ever you want---REALLY!
-Mud pit(s) -FAST Trails with blue grove hard pack (like concrete almost) and banked curves -Slow dirty/rocky (small rocks in the ground) -LOTS of rolling hills on the trails -MX tracks for bikes only -MX tracks for both bikes and ATVS -Tight Tree trails everywhere, but also 12ft wide trails -Big man made dirt hills -Pee Wee track -Flat Circle Track -hill side trails-like 2 feet to the left and it drops off 40 ft down.
What ever you want as long as you stay on the marked trails and stay going the correct direction.-EZ

I guess they have been going thru a severe drought, I has not rained there is months. The nice thing they do is spray pond water down on the entrance and parking area, but once you go to the trails it is dusty. The cabins get rented out most of the time -so get a reservation. They have ALOT of staff and you are almost always visible to a staff member when u are in the campsites and parking and entrance area. These are super nice people. You do not need any registration like at croom. You Must wear a helmet ANY time you are on a bike or quad or UTV-even when loading/unloading. All of the trails are ONE WAY, but they do have many loops and return paths. The trails are marked with arrows and you can NOT get lost. You must wear helmet, chest protector, boots, gloves, and long pants if you are going on the MX tracks. Kids under 8 are free. They do offer multiple day pricing for a discount. No motors running before 8 am, riding opens at 9 am. You must be off the trails by 5pm. You can make campfires in the camp sites. They do have a chow hall and lodge area, and it stays open after the trails close. They do have a proshop and tire guys. Prices are very fair and they have alot of parts. they have air for tires in the parking lot.
---Bring LOTS of quaters for the pressure washers, you will use them. ---Bring an extra air filter or be prepared to clean yours out at the end of the day. ---it is FEAKIN COLD up there now, so bring jackets that u can get dirty-very dirty. ---Bring lots of socks. and anything else that will make it nicer to start the day, but you can just use the same pants and stuff every day because they will be dirty in 5 minutes. ---I am glad I brought my floor drying fan, it was used to dry boots at night.($40 at walmart) ---bring an extra key for everything, There isn't any place close to get one made. ---I chained everything up the first night, but after that we left everything out-it is nice up there. ---Bring paper towels or shop rags, you will use them on everthing, especially your goggles.
Hope this helps-EZ

get a fan off ebay, make sure it is off of some kind of atv or dirt bike(designed to be muddy) and fab a bracket and put it on. I just did this as a second "pusher" fan on my king quad. It does not matter if you have a water cooled motor or not. ANY extra air across the fins is better than none. Also, somethingthat helps the air/fuel mixture is to cover (wrap entirely) the air box in heat reflective tape and make sure the intake is directed toward cool air. Hope this helps, it works on any quad/bike-EZ

DONT DO IT!!!!!!! I went through a few of those for my kids. up & down the street OK wet forget about it...Cant get parts let alone somone to fix em
I hear ya, but most of the parts are just "replace and run", and since they are dirtbikes/atv's, pretty much anyone who can turn a screwdriver can do the work.

I know many people have had problems with "off brand" bikes and atv's and I have had my fair share also. BUT- I have had WONDERFUL service from the Baja brand (sold mostly thru pepboys). My daughter has a 50cc quad and I have a 125 dirt bike. Now you will never get high performance machines with lots of upgrade parts from any of these manufacturers, but I have ordered parts directly from Baja -ON A SATURDAY!! I recieved the parts on the following friday. The dirt bike wouldn't fire so I narrowed it down to cdi and coil, I ordered both and they were delivered for $54 TOTAL. The reason I ordered both was because it was so cheap that I didn't want to wait another week if I got the wrong part the first time. I think the cdi was bad because it sat for a year in the shed with out running at all. I sprayed carb cleaner in it and put in new gas, installed the coil and cdi-it started half way thru the first kick. The little quad lost a bracket somewhere in the woods, I gotr another for $14 delivered to my door. I also have a motortek 175 utility quad that has worked in every job a quad can do for over 5 years. The company went out of business but the parts for the motor are old honda parts. I have put 2 clutches in it over it's life and it still runs great. I won't put any money into it if something else breaks but clutches are normal wear items, especially since the 175 has done the work of a 350 on MANY different occasions. I am gonna sell the 175 for $350 next month. I don;t need it since I got the King Quad. So, I don;t know about any brands except the Baja, but the Bajas have given more value than I paid for them. and I would get another for my daughter when she wants to move up. Go ahead and Give Baja Motorsports a call and ask them if the have parts adn manuals and support. I don't care if anyone buys one, but I feel that they treated me well and I should atleast respond to this post with some positive info. Good Luck-EZ
