1  General / Racing Scene / Re: Ocala Thunderbowl Quad Flattrack Sat 5/27 plus other dates and news on: May 16, 2006, 07:19:03 AM
the transponders are the best way to go, no one has to worry about  a person counting laps or scoring a position.  the same type we used in RC racing.  they work great.  very good idea..

well both of my boys had 250r's in the past,  then went to Banshee's.  Now it looks like they are headed back into the right direction and getting back on the Great One's.          the one and only;  Honda TRX 250R

as most of you know i've been a way from the track for awhile,  but that is going to change, it will be nice to out there with you guys again.
sat night was really interesting,  i saw a lot of improvement in a number of riders.   i don't thing i want to race against any of you guys or girls anymore  way to fast.
everyone please remember, its for fun, ride safe, ride clean.

if you guys will allow me a minute to toot the horn,  team ware,  tyler j. was riding as intense as ever, (he needs flat track tires)  i though dave was looking good when he got the banshee hooked up, and chris, riding my bone stock 250r, put that thing out front in the heat race and kept it there.  i am very proud of the way you guys conduct your selfs and the way you help other rides out, even when they are racing against you.

i must say it was really a good time having you guys up to dade city.  we really hope that every one can get together at least once a month.  congrats to the winners.  after the crash my bike faired well but i ended up with a hugh knot and road rash on my elbow and a swollen hand that i can hardly move,  but it was really fun.  "no pain, no gain."  i know the POS needs a good set up.  Mike glad to hear you are ok.  hopefully we won't have any craches next time.
again, we really hope you guys can join us again.

Flat Track;  where you get to power slide around the corners and bang bars in the straigh-a-ways

that night was really some of the best bar to bar racing to be seen anyware. everyone out there deserves a hand.
in all fairness to my two boys "07 and "24, they ask no quarter and give no quarter, even when sometimes it ends in a crash and burn, (its a racin thing) but when all is said and done they walk away as best friends.
i was very proud to see chris immediately give up first place to return and check on his brother. at that point the race took second place and family (or other rider) took first place.
there has been more than 135 views to this posting, so there has to be more guys and girls interested in flat tracking. come on out and try it at least one time.  we need your support to keep it alive.
and hopefully by jan i'll have another 250r ready to replace the stolen one, and put those banshee's in the back where they belong. Wink

we had our mini rider there and was hoping for some other riders.  hope you guys can make it out there next time.

we need some more mini riders to be able to have a class, so if any one out there knows of a mini rider interested in flat track, please pass the word.
8  General / Open Discussion / Re: Do you prefer PINE or OAK ? on: December 14, 2004, 12:08:42 PM
i'll take pine, it cost me 5 months trying to heal a broken wrist, who knows how long an oak tree would have cost me.

won't you all be crying the blues when my "POS" Honda pass's ya in the corners,  bad ball joints and all.
