I have 3 sportsmans and never get water in the CVT box unless it goes over the gas tank.
The new sportsman is the best bike out there followed by the grizzly in my opinion.
All three are great bikes.

hankjr Remember Windrock has a speed limit and is expensive. You could try Black Mountain in Harlan, KY (S.E. Kentucky) its free and is Awesome. Not only do they have a great setup with market trails on the mountain. But there are endless trails to ride on the daily group rides they have. You can ride your bike right into town and everyone there is super nice. We spent a entire day just going from trail to trail around Harlan and surrounding towns. You could spend a Month up there and it would never get boring. If you need I can recomend a great little house you can rent that has a Private Trail that connects to the main trail system. http://www.harlancountytrails.com/

Everybody complains and bitches and moans but no one cares enough to do anything about it. EVERYONE would have to stop buying from one certain company and that won't happen. Americans (in general) are to lazy and don't have the will power to stick to it until it makes a difference.
I SECOND THAT!!

I spoke with the Main man at the Devision of Forestry last trip there. He is the leader of the whole project. He says its a sure thing, that they have already started and have the Grooming equipment already purchased. He also said its a 2 Directional Marked trail with a speed limit, I believe he said 30mph. He gave me a map ill see if I can find it. I know it got wet in the front so called dry storage box of my sportsman.

General / Where to Ride? / Re: Riding Big Scrub

hey v125 Its still good riding as long as you stay off of numbered road. The division of forestry is now in control of all the ATV riding in ONF. They are writing tickets left and right. You have to stay against the south most side of the powerline if your riding along them which is right in the middle of all the whoops! Also all the pits are now shut down so you cant ride them anymore. In july all of the area around big scrub will be closed and they have made a Marked 125 mile long looped trail through the forest. Its groomed and you may travel either direction. This trail is in addition to the other 4 or 5 smaller trails they have. If your planning a trip there soon make sure you stay on the trails not numbered roads. Until july you can go anywhere you want as long as its a trail. Make sure you carry your license and make sure your atv is registered or they will get you for that. I personally have seen several tickets written for this stuff.
Hope this helps

General / Tech Corner / Re: Sportsman 700 EFI Clutch Question

Im not sure a clutch kit will help. I was thinking a entire aftermarket clutch if there is such a thing. I remember Cajun saying something about putting the 800 clutch in the 700. Not sure what gains I would get?

General / Tech Corner / Sportsman 700 EFI Clutch Question
|
on: March 16, 2008, 12:11:55 PM
|
Does anyone make a aftermarket primary clutch for a 04 Sportsman 700 EFI EBS? I have 29.5 oulaws with a lift and cant keep a belt in the bike. Ive tried heelclicker and that doesnt do much of anything. Also have a stiffer secondary spring which helps a little but stays in low gear ratio! I also remember hearing something about swapping for a SP 800 primary? Hows that work? Is is mainly just to be able to run the 800 belt or does it grab better?
By the way I do mainly trail riding(sandy) and mud. Im not worried about the money just want the best clutch setup.
Any help would be appreciated. bUg
