I'm also planning on moving from california to florida, in the miami area.
I'm a novice rider (on a jetski) and I'm a novice surfer.
I also plan to get into more boardsport, such as sandboarding.
A quick google search for dunes in florida lead me to this thread, and it's given me an answer.
I was also just wondering if anybody here knows of any good surf spots?
I know there's a lot of water around florida, but it's the waves I'm looking for.

No waves in Miami unless we are having a hurricane. You will be driving up to Sebastian Inlet if you want to surf.

I will take this post to formerly apologise to any mudriders I have offended by using mudrider to prefix the few members that are POS's IMO. I certainly never attacked any of your wives, but with mudrider next to your name and glaring out in posts it is very easy to take your silence in some of these vile and uncalled for attacks as if you condone them. I have no hatchet out, I have a problem with my posts being deleted with no profanity or personal attacks in them, but when anyone with a mudrider logo or sponsors the site does it, they get a free pass.
I find it disgusting 10 or more people can jump a person because the cow in front starts charging and nothing is done abut it and no one speaks up. Trust me, this personality is far more worse and the fact I have 78 posts listed, yet 4 show might give you a clue. I believe i have an even older one if anyone who predates me wants to step up.

The Etrex for $100 is an awesome unit. It doesn't load maps, but the screen is too small for it anyway. You will feel way better when you lose it in a mud hole. I know I'm glad my Etrex is lost at Macs fish camp instead of my ColorMap.

I have a Garmin 3+ that does load maps and is great in the mud as well, I paid $299 for it a while back so I don't like to put it in harms way much, but they are getting cheap on Ebay.

I think we should have a 3 wheeler group ride.  Show those big heavy 4 wheelers how it's done.
