Everyone here asked for a quad club a few years ago.
Now here is your chance to get involved.

So you think you are fast in the woods or on some track?
Join a club and come race.. Smiley
4  General / Open Discussion / Re: Need Help With Landscape Quotes on: February 22, 2006, 07:34:23 AM
I knew you would get on here and say something.
What I was saying earlier is that there are SO many LCO's that driving the price down here.

My tree prices are based on the same price as and most tree nursery's are.

I to have been in business for 14 years and I will be out of it  in 2 years as the 34 houses I purchased 11 years ago will now have 185k in equity in each.

I only do the lawn business cause I enjoy it and thats how I found all my rentals in the first place.
I get the prices I charge cause I dont really have to work. But Im not going to ruin the maket for my friends that are in it.
I could charge wholesale price for alls I care for that same tree.
When one person starts lowballing then the whole market will get ruined as I have seen it get in the last 6 years.
Being competitive is one thing but to the point where the price is dropping so bad you cant make any money.
There is also the quality factor. There is no way a lowballer is going to make any money doing the yards and landscaping I do.
Im a one man show. I fix other lowballers work cause they didnt charge enough.
Im actually going out today to fix another company work. And if I told you what I grossed per hour by myslelf you would fall dead.
It's cause I know what Im doing.
I tell customers you should have went with me in the first place or you wouldnt be spending this much you would have actually saved money.

I can go on and on about this.
5  General / Open Discussion / Re: how many riding spots are there with in 2-3 hours of tampa on: February 22, 2006, 07:11:43 AM
There are quite a few but IM sure no one is going to give them up.
Reason being you will get a bunch of idiots doing stupid things.
Like not wearing a helmet, doing burnouts in the street.

Having loud exhaust!!!!

Come on people the land around you is getting shut down because neighbors are getting tired of the loud noise!!!

Get a 96 dcbl. pipe, it puts out the same power as a regular pipe.

There is an awsome riding spot where I live.
Im sure it will be shut down soon because there are bunch of careless idiots on banshees parking out in the open and tearing up the area.

Dont get me wrong here Im not some old fart. I race XC and really need this place to practice.
But on the other hand I know the owner very well and we have been both talking about him selling the property to me so I can develop it and and add a few more million in my bank and move to Colorado where there is plenty of room to ride.

I have talked to the retards on the banshees and they said they really dont care!
There are about 18 of them and lets say they are the type I wouldnt hang around with.

Oh well good luck finding the riding areas. The best way to find out is word of mouth.
6  General / Open Discussion / Re: Need Help With Landscape Quotes on: February 21, 2006, 07:44:49 AM
I've been in the business for 14 years now.
Im not going to go and post all landscape info on a public forum.
There are already WAY to many lawn/landscapers in this state and its driving down the price!

You can PM all the info you want and I will help you out.

IM just tired of idiots thinking they can go out buy a plant or tree and mark it up 2.5-3 times and say thats easy money. There is a lot more to it.
Even the comment before about "2.5-3 times more" bugs me.
10 years ago I never even thought of charging that. I was always at 4 times the amount and then you have to add in cost of travel, insurance, labor, ect.
BUt the lowballers never think of that stuff!
7  General / Racing Scene / Re: Quad Scrambles XC race Feb. 4th and 5th on: February 07, 2006, 08:08:30 AM
I saw "C" rider race the morning race in "C".
Then he went to the "B" class and raced in the afternoon class.
This kid was flying, even after racing the morning class.
I know "AA" will have more competition in a few years.
8  General / Racing Scene / Re: Quad Ice Racing at the Ice Palace on: January 25, 2006, 08:23:29 AM
we contacted them, we could have had 4 bikes there.. but it way to much $$$ to spend for no return....

See thats what I said earlier. A few of you have no idea how long and tedious it is to put screws in all four tires.
9  General / Racing Scene / Re: QS#4 Cross country race at Holopaw Jan. 14-15 on: January 15, 2006, 07:34:06 PM
Pledger how did you get home so fast?
Im on the east side of Tampa by I-4 and just got home.
YOu must have been pulling your rig with that new ute of yours.
Gonna unload the trailer Monday at 5am before work, man Im pooped.

Sucks I busted up my pipe. Keith told me I was running a strong 3rd on my 2nd lap.
Oh well have to dig out the stock pipe somewheres and slap that on for next weekend race.

See ya there..
10  General / Racing Scene / Re: QS#4 Cross country race at Holopaw Jan. 14-15 on: January 13, 2006, 12:35:52 PM
You need to show up dude...
2 hours is not that bad. If she gets to tired at the end she can pull off.
I remember doing my first year at GNCC and never finished one race.
But the fun I had was increadible!!

11  General / Racing Scene / Re: QS#4 Cross country race at Holopaw Jan. 14-15 on: January 12, 2006, 04:54:27 PM
BUmp....Its this weekend better decide if you want to do this or not.
12  General / Racing Scene / Re: QS#4 Cross country race at Holopaw Jan. 14-15 on: January 10, 2006, 07:21:11 AM
No cross crounty is not the same as a harescramble.  Cross country is more like enduro type of racing.  All our bikes are to d**n wide for the harescarambles or we would just for fun.

XC is nothing like an enduro!!!
Jeez ive been racing for a 1000 years now and know the difference.
An enduro course is used in the woods, legal roads, gravel roads and held on public land. They also use a watch and trail computer to calculate time and speed to the next check point.
XC is all out balls to the walls racing in the woods, open fields, creek crossing, hills, mountains, what ever they throw at you. To get as many laps in before the time is up.

13  General / Racing Scene / Re: Quad Ice Racing at the Ice Palace on: January 10, 2006, 07:07:50 AM
I have Ice raced with my banshee several years ago up in Wi.
That arena is to small.
We had ours on frozen lakes.

By the time anyone sets up their quad its not worth it.
You would be better off going up to Wi for a winter vacation.
Its amazing the amount of people I meet here that have never been out of the state with their quad.
14  General / Racing Scene / Re: QS#4 Cross country race at Holopaw Jan. 14-15 on: January 08, 2006, 08:03:17 AM
Yes we will be there as usual.
HS and XC are basically the same thing.

This race will be 2 hours. and its an awsome course.

If you never raced before you really dont know what your'e missing.
I recently went riding with 2 buddies that refuse to race.
We went to Ocala NF. Jeeeeezzze that was so boring I about fell asleep riding.
There is nothing like getting the adrenaline flowing right before a race.

For all the info and location go to www.floridatrailriders.org or PM me and I will help you get racing!
Im one of the rider reps.

17  General / Racing Scene / Re: HS at Mayo, FL on: November 14, 2005, 11:45:06 PM
We are heading back up again.

Jen so how is the pain is it going away?

18  General / Racing Scene / Re: FTR Quad Scramble #1 Who's going? on: October 19, 2005, 08:11:11 PM
Everyone is evacing to the north so why not go to the race.
I would bet where the race is at it will be the safest place in the state.
The high pressure in the north will not let the hurricane go any further than the Tampa area.
19  General / Racing Scene / Re: FTR Quad Scramble #1 Who's going? on: October 13, 2005, 07:59:59 PM
Yep we are heading up Fri night and camping all weekend.
MY son races Sat. in the peewee and I in "A" class on Sunday.

Pledger you gonna do "A" class for this series?
21  General / Racing Scene / Re: any hare scramble (woods) races coming up???? on: October 03, 2005, 07:45:31 AM
Joel the reason we dont have a day pass is cause then we wouldnt have the trunout that we do.
We have the biggest turnout of quad racers than any other district in the country.
Hope you still show up.
We have several Pro GNCC racers that come down for the winter to do our series.
22  General / Racing Scene / Re: FTR Hare Scramble #1 on: September 26, 2005, 08:20:42 AM
