I've recently got a recall on my atv glad that they know there is a problem and are willing to make it right that is great! At least till I called the dealership to make an appt. for the repair. That is when the service manager tells me I'm #6 on the list and will call me when the parts come in. OK here's the problem I ask when they might get the parts ? His reply I don't know I hope some time this year. I asked are you kidding I have a trip planned to W.Va. in 3 weeks. Again he says he don't know when but hopes it's this year. I plan on stopping at the dealership to try to resolve this soon but I'll never buy another atv from them and if this is how HONDA treats it's customers I'll be riding another brand soon as I can afford it.

HA wouldnt have that problem with a warranted Yamaha if mine should break down while it is under warranty and I have a trip planned all I have to do is show proof of my trip reciepts (booking with credit card is best proof) and Yamaha will refund me the money my trip cost and pay for the repairs on my ATV. Gotta love those Yamaha boys they really know how to take care of the customers  Grin

7  General / Tech Corner / Re: My Yamaha wont start without gas on: November 30, 2004, 10:38:40 AM
WoW thanx for all the help. I checked the air filter it isnt really dirty and when I took it off there is no dirt passing. So I adjusted the idle screw and it works fine Cheesy. I can't believe that little itty bitty screw is what was giving me problems  Huh
8  General / Where to Ride? / Re: East Coast Ride Area on: November 20, 2004, 08:10:40 PM
WOW this place sounds sweet and not to far away either. Do you still ride there and do you have to pay to ride?
9  General / Tech Corner / Re: My Yamaha wont start without gas on: November 20, 2004, 08:08:10 PM
First of all : sry for the slow reply.

Second of all : Carborater Adjustment, Idle Screw, and Mods.
First 2 aren't even english to me (lol)  Huh and mods well none. My quad is fairly new and even if I wanted to make any mods I wouldnt know where to start.

warm it up and drive it like you stole it

Thats actually the best thing you can do for your quad. when I first bought my quad I went through what seemed like hundreds of sites researching the break-in process (was probably only around 50 Wink) and if you break it in hard you will get more Horse power out of your engine and there is no appearant damage or change in longevity to the life of your quad. thats how I broke mine in and it runs fine.
11  General / Tech Corner / Re: Snorkel on: November 20, 2004, 07:48:52 PM
I am kinda new to the ATV world of Tech so correct me if I am wrong but isnt a snorkel a big pipe that comes out of your carborater and then comes up somewhere at the top of the atv so you can drive through water and still get air into the engine?

Or am I thinking of somthing else.
12  General / Where to Ride? / Info bout' the place near Hillard on: November 20, 2004, 07:35:36 PM
I heard somthing about an ATV park over in the hillard area just outside jacksonville and wanted to know if anyone had some info on the place or a web address or somthing cause I don't know jack didly about the place not even sure if it exists  Grin . Any info would be much appreciated.

PS if you have been out there before what are the riding conditions like(muddy, lot o dirt, sand, woods , open field, mx track)?  do you have to be 16? does your quad have to be registered? do you have to pay and if so how much and for how long day, weekend?
13  General / Group Rides & Events / Re: Rodman Dam Trail Ride IV on: November 18, 2004, 08:09:28 PM
HAHAHAH 2 great minds think alike. Thats what I told her but, by alone I mean all by myself no other family members. I am trying to use the fact that so many are going to my advantage so I can hopefully go.

one of the main drawbacks of being a minor is not being able to call all the shots regarding your own wishes. sometimes its for your own good and sometimes other factors play into it. what ever your reason is i hope things get worked out where you can make it.

jeff

Haa aint that the truth. Granted they make good decisions when I probably wouldn't but half the time I can't make to any ride cause either Grams won't let me go or Gramps is working so I don't have a ride. I am trying to make it to this : ride Cheesy but, I doubt I will grams doesn't like me riding alone.  Huh :-/
15  General / Tech Corner / My Yamaha wont start without gas on: August 06, 2004, 06:12:27 AM
I have noticed that latley I can't start my new Yamaha unless I am really giving it the gas at the same time. Is this a problem or should I not worry?
