General / Where to Ride? / Motoplex Info

Is the motoplex a good place to ride dirtbikes? (I am mostly in motocross but I love tight trails and hillclimbs)
And also with the new membership policy it says that you can ride 300+ days per year meaning that it is open on weekdays? And would that include unlimited camping including on weekdays? Because the membership fee sounds lika hell-ova-deal if that is the case.

Any technical hills or anything like that out there? Anyone have an opinion between the plex and croom? Keep in mind I ride a mx bike and whoops are not a prob. I actually like them for getting me fit.

I don't understand.. I used to ride out there and loved it, rode all the pits and went to Blue Sink to cool down. They take all of the fun pits and stuff that a certain group of riders love (ie not trail riders) and expect us to pay. I don't understand, Croom and my spot that is ganna be gone soon anyways is where you can find me. Last I heard anyways the new trails weren't even fun.
It seems like they just love to hand out tickets. I came in for the first time in a long time and decided to park across from where the blue sink road is and were unloading and this jerk ranger shows up and gives us two 100 dallor tickets for parking in the wrong spot.. I told him I didn't know there were parking rules now and wed be happy to move but he insisted on sticking us with $200 worth of tickets. They don't want us there.

Yeah there used to be some good spot I just got a trespassing warning there though.. We have a little spot we ride in Groveland but I really don't think anyone should be going there just to ride, my gf lives right next to it. Its not really anything special.

I actually lived on Lake Eustis for three years and right now I am on a river leading directly onto lake Harris so I have alot of experience on the Harris Chain. I actually got a tournament tomorrow launching from Lake Eustis. I have a hard time going wrong on private lakes like that (the one I got these fish on). Got alot on cranks and a few on Senkos. (Senkos are my love always have one on one of my poles). There were a ton of beds out there but they moved off them, bed fishing is hella fun too. I have actually had a few good days out on the Harris chain but usually if you come in with 10 pounds of bass you have a good chance of winning. Except on some days where a two-pounder will take it.

Well I rode there today, really nice, track sucks but alot of area. Nice little pond too, plus a incredibly huge retention pond. Guys out there said they have never had probs with the law, plus I haven't seen any No trespassing signs anywhere. Probably going back there tomarrow or going up to Ocala. If you decide to ride there don't be a idiot please, its a nice place.

Probably good for you and good for training, but honestly who actually enjoys riding straight whoops for miles? On my bike its nothing but on our Grizzly it is a pain, but I must say when I go to the track I haul butt through the whoops from all the "training" My opinion on ONF? I'll probably never go back after my last trip all the good places are shut down, when I went we would literally spend a 1/4 of our day at Blue Sink chilling out, eating, swimming, and making freinds now they have taken that as well, not to mention all the pits and stuff, what do pits have to do with the ecological environment??? I have never seen any endangered birds down in a big ol sinkhole, take away the fun spots and people are bound to go find new ones. Sorry for ranting just watched that crazy lady vid and I'm alittle worked up lol.

Wow that lady makes me really mad, they have alot of guts sitting there in their big jackets, while the family of men who went through hell just to protect her rights. I go to church and everything and I think she is a disgrace to Christianity and she shouldn't even be associated with it, and obviously if they weren't narrow minded they would see that every action of Jesus was the exact oppisite of the approach they are taking, even Jesus mourned when his good freind Lazerus died I mean come on. I don't want to sound like a superstrict crazy Christian, because I'm not, but she has it all backwards and I've been going to church long enough to argue with just about everything she said. Oh man that group touched a nerve.
