2  General / Tech Corner / Sprocket gearing help on: January 18, 2012, 08:15:55 PM
Another newbie question.... Looking at getting more speed for my sons Honda 300ex. I've installed a HMF completion full exhaust jetted his carb witha .125 hex jet and have a K&N filter, also installed a stage 3 rev limiter. The front end has been replaced with 400 a-arms and 450 shocks with new American Star tir rods. Looking for some guidance on what I can do to his gearing now. He has the stock 12/38 sprocket installed now and wondering what other pairing would help him with a little more speed/power. Any thoughts or experiences with the gearing? He'll be racing Hare scramble events a couple more years before he moves up to the 450 class due to his age.

Thanks in advance for any advise.

5  General / Open Discussion / New HMF Competition series full exhaust on: December 20, 2011, 03:32:50 PM
Hello all newbie here....

I just bought my son a HMF competition series full exhaust for his 2006 Honda 300EX along with the jet kit for Christmas. My question is the Basic Jet Kits Includes: Individual Keihin Hex Jet: 120, 125, 130 , which needle is going to give him the most power? Also he already has a K & N filter installed. As you all can probably tell this will be my first go around adding an exhaust system and a jet kit to an ATV. Thanks in advance for any help!!
