Hey guys, I finally have a day off and I want to ride so I am going to go down to homestead to ride out in the model lands (the humps) off of cardsound road. I always call the place the model lands but I know there is like 10 different names for it. Anyways its the area just south of the homestead speedway. If anyone is interested in joining me please let me know.  I will be down there from 3 till dark.

Feel free to text or call 954-914-5586

Yes but you have to stay on certain trails during certain seasons. My recommendation is to grab a brochure at the entry, pay the daily use fee and read over the brochure.  You can also view the brochure at the link posted earlier in this thread. **When in doubt about where to be, ask a wildlife officer. There is at least one stationed at Corbett every day.

Thanks. I just read the title requirements on the DMV site.  Your right, it's probably not worth it.

6  General / Open Discussion / VIN Lookup? on: July 17, 2011, 10:26:34 PM
Hey guys, I am considering buying a Kawasaki Prairie KVF650.  The person I am buying it from does not have the title. He said just a bill of sale.

I used the VIN lookups on this site for stolen vehicles and title lookups.  I cant find anything. Any ideas. Can I still apply for a title and register it with only the bill of sale.

I am posting the VIN, if anyone knows any other lookups please look it up and let me know.

VIN:::: JKAVFEA172B514826

Thanks in advance for any help

^^Yup. It just has to be registered and it has to be during a hunting season for hunting purposes. Or it can be used for scouting.

Hey guys,

I have the opportunity to get a 2002 Kawasaki PRAIRIE KVF650 V-twin 4x4 at a good price

Cosmetically it is in rough shape and has been sitting for a long time but that doesn't really bother me.

I went to look at it today and found out a couple things.  With a good battery, the motor turns over and has spark. It had bad gas in it so we sprayed ether into both carb inlets and the bike fired up. I used the electric start switch and it worked with no issues. I had it on for about 20 seconds and it seemed okay.

Heres the questions I have and I am hoping someone has experience with this ATV:

1.) With the bike not running and the key switched to the "on" position the computer/ gauge showed the bike was in 2wd, I flipped the lever to engage 4wd and it did nothing, it still showed 2wd.  Does anyone know if it needs to be running to change to 4wd or if something may be wrong?

2.) So far I think the following things are bad,
-The throttle and brake cables need to be adjusted/ replaced, they seem very loose at the levers.
-The carbs will probably need to be rebuilt.
-The fuel pump is probably bad
-All fuel lines need to be replaced.

----I was wondering if anyone knows were to get parts and how much it may cost me for those parts.

I have a slight hope for the bike because it was able to fire up with the ether, I just dont know enough about the bike to know what I am getting into...

Any help that you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.

**The bike is in West palm, if anyone is willing to take a look at it with me sometime next week and give some advice, I will pay for your gas and buy dinner and drinks.**

Thanks in advance for any help,

Matt

It is not legal to ride in J.W. Corbett

This is from there website: http://myfwc.com/viewing/recreation/wmas/lead/jw-corbett/visitor-information/

"The use or possession of airboats, ATVs, tracked vehicles or unlicensed and unregistered motorcycles is prohibited."

I hunt and camp there often.  Though it would be an awesome place to ride, I have not tried.  I have seen people get caught though.
