Here we go again! First 3 rounds went great...had more entries the third round than the first two. Kids on mini quads, young ladies on 250's and old farts on 450's. Also a decent flat track class. Bill has also lowered the cost, riders no longer pay 10 bucks at the gate...you only pay your entry of 25. Still 10 for spectators but saves a little cash. Cant say enough about how well we are treated here. So come on out to Marion County Speedway Saturday Night Gates open @3, practice around 5:30 heats to follow. RRBABY

For all those interested we will be meeting at Marion County Speedway on Saturday the 16th @ 4pm to practice/race and organize a quad group for the upcoming season. Bill @MCS is going to run us with the Mini/Micro Sprint program twice a month starting in March. If our numbers are big enough we may be able to branch off into an early Saturday Quad only program. It's basically up to us. If you are interested at all or even curious to see what Quad TT/Flat Track is all about show up and we will do our best to show you how much fun and how easy it is to get started. If you have any questions please feel free to pm me on this forum and I will reply/call you asap.

General / Racing Scene / Re: SDTA - ALL Quads banned from Racing in SDTA

Hey Scott, Sorry you did not know about the SDTA. The people that run it had been saying all along that they didn't run the Quads off the "numbers" were just down. We proved that with a little positive attitude the Quad Class got to be as big as any bike class. This left them with no choice but to ban us from the association. THOSE PEOPLE ARE LIARS AND COWARDS! Bill Creary @ MCS is planning to run TT/Flat Track Quads integrated with his mini/micro sprint program. The Sprint guys line the fence to watch us race and seem to be really good people. Nothing like the scum bags @ SDTA. Contact Bill and he will be able to tell you what kind of schedule he is going to do. We really hope it continues to grow as it has the past six months. The positive thing is that we wont have to listed to McNary run his mouth on the PA all night and ask that the track be watered down every 10 minutes! The sprint guys run the same tires we do and the track is much better for us with SDTA no there. Send me a PM and if you want more info.

The only TT track in Florida that I know of is at Marion County Speedway....It's located in Ocala. It would be great to have you come up if you can.

Good Morning All, Yet another great night of racing at the "Bullring", AKA Marion County Speedway. Bill Cleary and his crew are very positive about Quad TT racing. We have been running in conjuction with the Mini/Micro sprint program. Can't relay in words enough how welcome we feel by the other racers. Both the cars and quads use the same tires so the track surface is premo for racing. The more hard and tacky it gets the better everyone likes it. If any of you out there are interested at all in starting a TT series now is the time to get together and plan for 2013. All we really need to do is to track the points and work with Bill to set up a class/point structure. This would not be ran by any one person but by the riders within the frame work of the current MCS program. This forum would be a good starting place to see what could be put together. Lets keep it positive... I really don't care about any hard feelings towards anyone or any other organization. All I want to do is to get what is, in my opinion, the most fun form of quad racing out there. If you know someone that just wants to try it we could all come up with some old tires and maybe a practice day to try it out. All opinions or suggestions are welcome!

[... Which poses a question, Are you gonna start running the open class (assuming their is one) or continue to run the vet. class? Only reason i ask is the next event is OMS only and their was 2 classes then where we only had 1 class with the SDTA.
Thats a very good question Derek. Is Bill still going to run the TT only Saturday morning schedule? If so I will only be running Vet. Not too keen on spending another 12 hours at the track getting home at 2AM. That was way too long of a day for this old man. I will run the OMS stuff till I get my MX shocks. Plan on getting ready to run Lorretta's in August so I will spend most of June and July practicing MX.

OK, first things first. Only 2 people on this earth know what happened in turn 3 that night, Jon and Me. Did we make contact...YES. Did I hit him from behind...YES. When he came out of the turn he came across the front of the line I was already established in and I had two choices: 1. Hit the brakes or 2. stay on the gas. I chose the latter. Now secondly, I have absolutly no "beef" with the Cabanas. What happened was pure racing, which is why I usually don't run local stuff due to all the extra "drama". Nationals are expensive but worth the money to avoid inquisitions like this. Finally, I would like to say if you don't like getting bumped, pushed, banged, t-boned, railed, roosted or just plain old wrecked...TAKE UP GOLF! Racing ATVs is a very dangerous sport but also very rewarding. Thats why I am still doing it after 23 years. If I had a dollar for every time something like that happened to me I would be retired.

Decided to impose life rule #3: "Never argue with an idiot". Also when posts directed at me include profanity I really have no desire to continue the conversation. Since actions are louder than words I will do all my talking on the track.

Hey Scott, Probably will only run TT. I am messing around with set up and don't think it would work very well on FT. At any rate, hope to see you Saturday.
