1  General / Open Discussion / The time is NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: December 04, 2012, 07:09:33 AM
Who is coming to the hearing to support the trail system December 5th for Dirty Foot Adventures? You can not  Cry about not having REAL PLACES to ride if you do not support a private place spending MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to keep a place open.....

2  General / Open Discussion / Trail Riding on: November 22, 2012, 01:42:53 PM
Less than 2 weeks before the MOST IMPORTANT DAY Dirty Foot had ever had. This is when we go in front of Polk County Planning Board and ask to modify our existing permit to encompass more acreage to allow for trail riding on the property. Once we receive approval for trail riding we will allow Dirt Bikes, Atvs, Go Carts, Side By Sides and Golf Carts.

Please know that we need YOUR SUPPORT December 5th. Now is the time for you to take a stand for riding. Without your support we could forever close down. With your support we could have trail riding, track riding and CAMPING. It is so important to have you at the meeting, please do not wait for someone else to take your place at the hearing as they may be waiting for someone else to take their spot too.

We do not have a set time, you will need to be there at 9am. The address is- 330 West Church Street Bartow, FL

Remember you can not get upset if we forever close down if you make no attempt in helping us!!!

For those that ABSOLUTELY can not make it you can send in a letter. It will need to be in a Word Format or PDF. We will not take a letter that is in the body of an email, it MUST be an attachment. It will need the following information or can not be used-

Full Name
Full Address
Phone Number
Signature

send to-

3  General / Open Discussion / Jeremiah Jones Quad School (MX) on: November 20, 2012, 03:11:26 PM
Okay here we go.....looking for serious interest only. Jeremiah Jones is interested in hosting a Quad School Day at Dirty Foot. It would be a one day (and possibly 2 day if there is enough interest) school and sometime in January. Most likely on a Saturday. The cost for the one day school is $350 or $500 for a 2 day school. If we can get 10 or more signed up we will make this happen. Post up here and let me know your thoughts.
4  General / Open Discussion / Trails, Trails, Trails! on: November 08, 2012, 07:29:03 AM
We are now less than 1 month away from the Planning Board hearing regarding the trails. I ask each and everyone of our facebook fans/members to look at the calendar and see if you can make arrangements to be at the hearing. Places for good family riding are getting shut down on a regular basis and without your support on December 5th DFA may be forever closed as well. This does not only go for trail riders, the MX track could be in jeopardy as well!!!! WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!!! I know some live 3 hours away, I know MOST have to work and/or go to school. I also know that this day is the single most important day DFA has had so far. Without sounding harsh please consider this, your decision about coming to the hearing could be the reason we stay open or FOREVER CLOSE......

Thanks for your incredible support, hope to see you SOON!
5  General / Open Discussion / Trail Update on: October 12, 2012, 02:42:39 PM
The Day that everyone has been waiting for is upon us!!!!!!

Significant investments in time and money have been spent to get to this day. We appreciate your patience and continued support throughout the past year. If there has ever been a day that Dirty Foot needs your support this is the day. This day can either get us the approval for trail riding or forever close them down.

There is a Planning Board Hearing on December 5th, 2012, in Bartow, FL (330 West Church Street, Bartow, FL). The Planning Board will hear our request to modify our permit to encompass additional acreage to allow for trail riding at Dirty Foot Adventures. We absolutely need you and your family at that hearing if it is possible. You can contact us at info@dirtyfootadventures.com for more information as well as if you are planning on supporting us on this very crucial day. Please LIKE this post if we have your support.

If you can not tell from the above here it is one more time- WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT DECEMBER 5th, 2012

PLEASE HELP us to spread the word about the date!

12  General / Open Discussion / This Weekends race on: May 01, 2012, 11:54:15 AM
For this weekends race-

To enter the race you will pay $11 gate and $20 race fees.  Total to race is $31 after membership.  Membership is either $10 for the weekend or $25 for a year from the day you buy it.  If you choose to race 2 classes it will be an additional $15 to enter the second one. Classes can be found here- http://www.dirtyfootadventures.com/race-structure/  We will add classes based on need but we only have trophies for 20 classes.  The payout on the trophies- minimum of 4 people will payout 1st and 2nd place.  5 people in the class will payout 1st-3rd place trophies.

Gates will open at 8am and practice starts at 10am.  Practice is 3 laps and the laps for the motos will be voted on by you.  After practice we will have a riders meeting and start the motos.  The track will be lightly groomed and watered after practice and the first moto.

Gate picks- We will have you draw a number for your first moto gate pick, the lowest number equals first gate pick etc.  The second moto will be based on the place you finished in the 1st moto.

Points- The lowest point wins the race.  1st Place = 1 point, 2nd Place= 2 points etc.  Your points will be added from both motos. If there is a tie with the points after both motos, whoever placed better in the second moto wins the race.

Peewee Bikes and Quads- We will have a shortened track for you and your classes will be first.  Peewee Bikes first to practice and then first to race.  Peewee quads second to practice and second to race.

Practice- We will call peewee bikes for the first practice, then peewee quads for the second practice.  Small bikes will be the third group (65-100cc), then small quads (100cc-250cc), then big bikes and finally big quads.  Racing order will be announced the morning of the race once classes are completely formed.

Everyone must have a race number.  Bikes must have a number on the left of their bike that is easily read (or you will not be scored).  Quads must have a number on the front and rear so that it is easily read.

ALL QUADS must have an operating kill switch to race.  IT WILL BE CHECKED, if it is not operational you will not race.

Spectators feel free to bring a chair for the spectator mound.  Don't forget your swim trunks.

13  General / Open Discussion / Big Race on: April 25, 2012, 08:48:45 AM

15  General / Racing Scene / Gate Drops on: April 12, 2012, 08:43:32 AM
We (Dirty Foot) will be doing some gate practices this Saturday on the 40 man gate.  The holeshot lane will be watered and ready for you.  We will do it for about a hour.  We will line you up drop the gate and have you do a lap.  Once you get about 1/4th to 1/2th the way around we will be sending another group off the gates.  You can get as many practices in off the gate as you wish during that hour.

I am sure there are videos out there however I do not have any. I will say that there is very little water to worry about. Yes it is utility quad approved as well as some sport quads and obviously dirt bikes.
20  General / Where to Ride? / Re: Reopening Trails and Camping on: March 26, 2012, 08:23:38 AM
Matt, you will just have to call us then or go to our website....

Looking forward to coming back over. Dirty Foot is a great place and with the improvements you are putting in will be second to none.
I know that you have the mx track open but have you had any sand drags?

The drag strip, enduro cross course, mx track and small field is open every weekend.  We had the drag races going for a while but decided to hold off on any more until we get our camping back.

24  General / Where to Ride? / Reopening Trails and Camping on: February 03, 2012, 08:07:46 PM
We want everyone to know that we feel we have the best members ever. As you're aware we have had our trails and campgrounds closed for over 5 months, obviously not by choice. As of next week we will be moving forward with the permitting of those areas. We have been in contact with the Health Department to get the camping back and will be paying the application fees to the county for the trails. In a very short time we will have power brought down the rock road and into the campground. We will also have potable water and sewage. We plan to have 40 RV hookups with 50amp services. Unfortunately the above items can not happen over night. This is a 3-4 month process and will involve some of your help. We really need your continued support of what we currently have here at Dirty Foot. The above process is going to be very close to a $100,000 investment and we can not do it without you. We also need your assistance with letters and or your presence at the public hearing. We do not have the date yet but should know soon. Thank you for your support through these rough times. We can not wait to look beyond the bad times and start enjoying the family fun times. Who's with us on this? Who will be there when we need you the most? LET'S DO THIS!!!
