I would ride if you would allow dirtbikes also. But gotta admit Ocala National Forest for $10 might be a better deal considering how many more trails they have to ride on.

i would beg to differ, at dirty foot its $20 for whole weekend, (starting at 3pm fridays) the miles of trails they have arent all whooped out, and when i say miles i mean just the xc race course is 10-12 miles and that doesn't hardly scratch the surface, the have one way trails AND two way marked trails, no park rangers to hassle you, grass camping area, porto-o-johns ON THE TRAILS, a flat track oval a mx track a serious sand drag area and a swimming hole with zip line and mud areas, and you can take ANY ohv on the trails....it has been yrs since i have been to ONF and stopped going all together when i about killed myself when i ran into a pack of abandoned hunting dogs just "roaming" around, let alone when campers were murdered at the campsite ( http://www.ocala.com/article/20101226/ARTICLES/101229812 )  and just to let anyone know, this is a non-paid endorsement

It is a wooden stand that hunters sit in while watching for game. It is about 15' tall with the bottom clearance of about 6'. It is about 6' - 6 1/2 wide. You will have to make a hard left to go under it.

what the heck is that 

The race is on!!!!  It will still be about 10 miles so the laps will most likely remain at 4.  We will shut the trails down around 3-3:30pm and finish marking the trails.  We expect to have the practice lap somewhere around 4-4:30pm and start racing around 5pm.  The course will be very fun.  We are utilizing many trails that have not been ridden on forever and maybe never.  There will be lots of twisting trails as well as few short open ones.  There will also be areas to pass others.  We will also add a jump near the finish line as well as a jump or two near some creek crossings.  We will have a bridge crossing for those that do not wish to go through the creek or jump over it.  With the rain we have received the trails are perfect right now.  NO standing water but very moist.  Hopefully we will get some more rain this week making the trails great for the race.

Count me out for the shortened open course. Too hard on the ole engine. Not sayin I wont be there to ride anyway but just not racing. I will be there for the FTR event though. We have 10 months left in a year to race otherwise right?

according to a buddy of mine who has some info, croom is the largest money making state park in the state of florida, and the revenue from that park keeps several other state parks open, close that park and several others will follow, but with the moron we got as a gov. who promised more jobs....all he has done was cost the state 1000's of jobs, whats a few more

when i did it, (tampa, orlando and ocala)the main guy tells you to leave your "racing" helmet in the trailer, and you need to have your entertainment helmet on
