Hey all...How many would be interested in Sand Dragging?
Depending on how much feedback I get, I may have a place in Orlando willing
to put on some sand dragging, to run one Sat. per month, it will cost a small fee to get in the gate, a release of personal injury will need to be signed. Pay back will be given to the winner or winners. Don't have all the details on that yet.

We'd love to hear them. Also, please include type of ATV you own, so we may put a number together between sport quad riders and utility quad riders.

You must be "NEW" here or something?!?!, We are alway`s looking for a place closer to home than Ga..
 If you need help with a light tree or something , i know someone who just might be willing to participate. There are alot of us sanddragers around here. We lost our track @ saltsdale due to low turn out, but it was just getting to  take off!!!
 Post if you need assistance in anyway, we will help out whenever possible.

There are about six of us from Manatee Co. that will be there for sure.

I've got 3 bikes sometimes 5 that probably would be there. All Fast banshees and so are a lot of the other guys on here so if you are seriously thinking about sport quad drags you def. want at least 600ft of track 300/track & 300/shutdown cause some of us will be running 70-80 mph, but sounds great if it happens.
 you might want to post in the racing thread probably get a better response!

If you are serious about doing this give me a call.  I have put on sand drags in this area for about 2 years and all these guys can vouch for that.  I might have some input that would help, because I know one thing, the sand drags that I put on ran smooth.  352-516-5756.  I would be more than happy to help in any way.  Have had up to 75 bikes at a sand drag before, so my input would be valueable to anyone thinking of building a track.

can't wait to see the 12 mil.....your money will spend just as well and ware's will spend.  will the real crush killer please stand up and get him some, cause he knows we are not scared.  12 mil been scared to come out of the garage, because he knew frank would smoke it.  what are you going to do?  keep it in the garage until frank goes and buys a 12 mill and gets all the bugs worked out then bring it out?  quit following frank around like a puppy dog man.  just bring that crush killer on, the orange crush is not hard to find.

got nothing to do with being scared. and if you haven't noticed me or brassart haven't been around. Too much mudding going on w/ the grizz.  so to say we follow Frank around is just jealousy cause noone wants you :o but after the wicked race it kinda got me re motivated so it should be out soon. Like I said on the other thread hope you can keep up! sucka! you know I love ya smoke ;D

Thank you all for replying. The Sanddrags are still a strong possibility. We have to get the owner in agreement, and we are working out the details. Everything needs to be presented. I have presented him with all your replies. Just have to work out some other things. Don't rule this out yet!!

so what is the location of this possiblity?  because they are close to doing something in ocala, so i would mash on the gas, if i was going to start something cold turkey.

everyone in naples will be there. got to have more than 300ft to shut down.

This is where we are at with the drags. There is a 400 foot shut down, on a 200 foot drag. They are still working on getting a timing system and donations are being taken for clay.

The track is located in Bithlo, FL (Orlando) on Hwy 50, Orange County raceway, right beside Speed World. Currently there is two tracks, a mudbogg run, and a consistancy class for Atv's on the sand drag side of the track, runs the fourth Sat. of every month, starting at 8pm, practice at 7pm. There is a $10.00 gate fee, gates open at 4:00, to enter any of the ATV classes it is a 5.00 entry fee. 

Come out and enjoy the fun, get a look at the track, suggestions are open.

Directions: From I 95 take the highway 50 exit head west, just past the 520 cut off, take the 1 st left at the Speed World sign, cut off to Orange County raceway is on the left,  just inside the entrance.

Normally we are out of there about 11 - 11:30pm. If it continues to grow, start time will be moved up.

These guys like to race for money so what is 5.00 entry fee going to add up to ?

Payback is 100 % of entry fees.

Entry cost and payback is open for discussion.

I second that, the fee to race has to be higher to get a payback, or you`ll never draw a crowd. With the crowd comes the $$$$.


Chris was right also, starting @ 8;00 pm, you wont be getting out of there until 2-3;00am

Just FYI, most tracks are @  $15-20 entry fee, and $25-30 for an outlaw class ;)

And I apologize, It seems there is a little miss understanding, I just called the person who is putting this together, the $5  entry fee is for the current consistancy and mudbogg class. Drags will have a higher entry. To be determined. $15.00 to 20.00 is in the range of what he was thinking.

EWhat type of track is it gonna be, all sand, or clay w/sand.    Hard pack or soft ??

they guy from the mudd boggs called me about 2 months ago about finding a timing system and everything....i gave ALOT of details on what needs to be there if they want to make it big....timing system, shut down, and last we talked it was going to be 300 ft.  i agree the gate fee needs to be lowered and the entry fee needs to be raised...in my opinion, hazelhurst has a lot of fast bikes and the gate fee is only 7 dollars...with a 10 dollar gate fee and only running from 7 to 11, you won't have many spectators that come with the racers....

Whenever this all gets worked out well be there. 1 yfz ,1 mini, 1 200.
