Title: 650 BRUTEFORCE TIRES
Post by: bruteforceski on November 22, 2005, 02:53:01 PM
LOOKING TO GET NEW TIRES FOR MY 650BRUTEFORCE, I AM BEING TOLD BY A FRIEND THAT I SHOULD NOT GO ANY BIGGER THAN 26' I WANT TO PUT SOME TIRES ON IT THAT ARE BIGGER AND A LOT BETTER IN THE MUD, THAN THE STOCK ONES, BUT 26' DONT SEEM TO BE THAT MUCH OF A DIFFERANCE, CAN I GO BIGGER? OR IS IT A BAD IDEA? ANY SUGGESTIONS ON BRAND NAMES? SORRY IF THESE QUESTIONS HAVE ALREADY BEEN ASKED AND ANSWERED I AM NEW TO THE SITE

I like Mud Lites or Gators...If you have more Room to fit 27"+ go for it but I would stay with 26"

I fits the older SRA BF650 then bigger tires are the only way to gain ground clearance in the mud. You have the power to turn 28s, but when you go that big you put strain on the drivesystem and ecspecially the belt. I would not be affraid to go up to 27s or 28s if they were not really aggressive like lites, bugs or 589s. But if you want a real mudtire Like Laws Claws or Zillas stay at 27 or 26 and you should not notice much power loss ans increased strain. You will need a lift to run 28s, not 100% on the 27s.
