Title: Times a tickin...but not fast enough for me **Help**
Post by: LakeMaryKid on November 13, 2005, 06:45:17 PM
Well, its starting to get somewhat serious as to getting into the truck hunting market for myself. Lookin for a 95 and up Toyota Tacoma Ext Cab 4x4 V6. Dad and I went to a used car show in the mall other night lookin at em but they had only pre runners, nice trucks i must say. Pappy prefers the Taco's over the rangers and s-10.....they seem more sturdier which they are. The range that im lookin in is gonna be from 5k to about 10k probably. Been searching Auto Trader, Ocala4sale and so on. Any other sites i check for trucks? Classifieds suck balls here. Must say i am getting pumped about gettin a truck. Already have a list printed out stuck to the wall of the mods i wanna do. Hehe well here ill give yall a hint of what is instore when you see me at a group ride next year.

A taco sittin on 33 BFG M/T's, rims not sure, with a 3 inch body lift, with an ARB Bull Bar Bumper, Bushwacker flares, 9ft whip, Diamond Plate Tool Box. Interior, suicide knob, CB, Camo seat covers. Hehe then a suprise or two that will remain discrete till yall see.

Yes yes folks i know i have FABULOUS taste. :groupies.gif :groupies.gif :groupies.gif :Fp

I must say that my only beef with the yota trucks have been the seat,,,,when I sit in them I feel like I'm sitting on the floor, other than that, they are solid small trucks.

As long as Mike doesn't tightent he lugnuts.

For what you want I would imagine youd be lookin for '95-'00 for that price. My fiancee has an '02 Ext Cab Tacoma PreRunner 4cyl, and the Toyota dealership said they will give me $12,500 trade-in. That would make it around $15k used, which seems kinda high, it could also be they were giving so much because I am lookin at an '05 4x4 CrewCab TRD Taco. My buddy has a 92 Toyota on 35s and that thing is bad! It has been run all over River Ranch since it was bought and has only had the front end(pitman arm, idler arm, and balljoints) replaced a year ago. You just can't break em. I have an '02 3/4ton CrewCab Chevy and I just had to replace the Idler Arm and Pitman Arm, they aren't near as tough as the little yota's

EDIT:: I know most of this info is useless for your hunt, but I am really bored.

EDIT EDIT:: I found my last truck on this website http://www.truckshopper.com it has alot of local used car lots in florida. And of course you can't go wrong with www.gibsontruckworld.com .... OK I feel better now I gave you some useful info.

LOL j/k thanks i looked on there and they had 1 nice truck but a std cab :(. Parents wont let me get a std cab because in the case they need to use it, we all need to be able to fit. Good reason so its fine with me.
