Title: More ocala N.F. questions.... Post by: bruin350 on November 07, 2005, 04:58:14 PM do you have to have a spark arrester in ocala national forest? If so, are they very serious about that law or do they not really check? thanks.

Title: Re: More ocala N.F. questions.... Post by: Ida_Mann on November 07, 2005, 09:32:11 PM Seconded,,,,,seems like few of the rangers know that rule,,,,but it doesn't take much to have one, and most if not all aftermarket pipes have one anyway.
Id@ ps: unless they've been taken out without the knowledge of the rider Title: Re: More ocala N.F. questions.... Post by: bruin350 on November 07, 2005, 09:37:47 PM If u have an aftermarket pipe say on like a 2stroke bike, it has a spark arrestor you say, but is it like a different kind than a stock one on the outside end of the muffler? cause i have seen some aftermarket ones that dont look like they have the same type spark arrester if one at all as a stock muffler.
Title: Re: More ocala N.F. questions.... Post by: Ida_Mann on November 07, 2005, 09:43:25 PM spark arrestors come in many shapes and sizes,,,,,best to consult with the manual for the pipe, or maybe the website of the manufacturer of the pipe to find that information if I read your question right.
Id@ Title: Re: More ocala N.F. questions.... Post by: bruin350 on November 07, 2005, 09:46:17 PM Yea thanks, cause my freinds aftermarket pipe looks like it doesnt have a spark arrester from the outside but maybe an internal one idk, ill check up on
thanks |
