Title: Re: Whats the diffrence? .125 and .190 Dougles Rims! Post by: 2006YFZ450 on November 03, 2005, 08:24:45 PM It seems that .190 Douglas Rim is best.
Title: Re: Whats the diffrence? .125 and .190 Dougles Rims! Post by: Chuck_Norris on November 03, 2005, 08:37:44 PM it realy depends on what kind of riding you are doing, the .120 are light and bent easily if abused where as trail riders and other agressive riders may opt for the .190 for the strength.

Post by: 53yfz450 on November 03, 2005, 08:50:46 PM oh and if your really planning on doing mx get beadlocks your just wasting your money in .190 because they will bend and its a pain filling up your tire every ride. its okay to have .190 in the front. ;)

Do you mean fill up your tire because it goes flat! ??? no, because the water leaks out and air gets in. When doing MX, some riders will opt to fill up their front tires with water instead of air because you don't really want the front tires to "float" on top of the turf, you want them to "dig". Water doesn't give as much as air, so the tire doesn't deform and "float" over the terrain, instead , with water, the tire willdig down into the turf till it reaches hard enough ground to support it. those are beadlocks. Title: Re: Whats the diffrence? .125 and .190 Dougles Rims! Post by: Chillinthemost on November 03, 2005, 10:29:53 PM Beadlocks sandwich the bead on the rim so it cant be rolled off the rim, it also strengthens the rim. Get the .190s, anything lighter is for drag racing not jumping.
