The "Sarasota Quad Riders Association" is born!! 
We would like to extend an invitation to anyone interested in becoming part of our club to attend the first monthly meeting. 

The meeting will be held at:
Suzuki of Sarasota
4583 Clark Road
Sarasota, FL  34233

Wednesday, November 2nd at 7:00PM .

There will be FREE PIZZA & DRINKS, as well as DOOR PRIZES, and a 50/50 RAFFLE!!!

We have big plans for the future of our club, and would like YOU to be a part of it.

This club has been designed for, BUT NOT LIMITED TO Quad riders.  We encourage entire families, children and adults to be involved in our club, two and four wheels alike.

I will be there.  I know the owner Frank and he will help us in any way needed.  Plus he has some of the best deals in the state for quads.

FTRRACER, Please make sure you post this on Northportoffroad.com  most of us in the area visit the site and plan events though the site.

I'm trying to get there but we leave on a cruise the next morning so it depends on what I have to wrap up that night.

I saw this on the FTR website.. I know its a quad club, but isnt this to help quad riders in the new quad series?

I may be wrong, but maybe some of you are thinking this is a big hang out, but im guessing its if you belong to the club, you help hold events/make tracks and all the other stuff. Which is fine if you are into the racing scene.

Let me know how wrong I am.

can I be an 'associate' member?   I am in Volusia county...but will support any club that supports our sport.
     Put me on your e-mail (meeting mintes, etc) list so I can hear how everything is going.

Yes, we are FTR members that are getting this thing going.  And yes, it would be great if within the club we could form a competition committee, to help plan and host a sanction for a Quad Scramble. 
FTR topics will be discussed at meetings because FTR is currently the biggest thing going for Quad riders in the State of Florida.

Of course we will be hanging out, that is what a club is all about.

OBVIOUSLY, judging from the amount of people who are interested and have responded to this, there is a major need for something like this in our community.  Our sport is growing by leaps and bounds, while public riding areas are diminishing just as rapidly.  Environmentalist groups that are hard at work trying to wipe us out, if you've noticed, are presenting themselves as a group, not individuals.  That is something we need working for us, a VOICE, and right now, we don't have one. 

And enough about politics, wouldn't it be great to sit around and hang out with some new people who share the same interests as you?  Besides,  your buddies have heard you tell the same stories more times than they'd like to count.  We all know "Quad stories" are like "fish stories"  the jumps get higher and the mud holes get deeper just as the fish get bigger.  Let's get together and tell our stories to some newly made friends and do some riding.  I know I'm looking forward to it!!
These are some of the many things I had planned to discuss at the meeting, but I thought I'd share with you that our intentions are not at all limited to FTR, to prevent any misunderstandings. 
Let's have some FUN!!

Well guys I think the club is off to a good start, I think we had a good turn out  their was about 20-25 people and I seen atleast half of the group  signing up to become the first members of the newest club in town!!!!!

 The next meeting is on Dec. 7  its the first wednesday of the month 7 PM at Suzuki of sarasota.  Look forward to seeing and meeting more people.

No minutes were taken, just alot of good ideas and a good turn out. 
I think the next meeting they will take down the minutes.   Amanda really seems to have all of her ducks in a row, theres already a checking account for the club and all the legal mumbo jumbo stuff. :) if we continue to have a good turn out like we did I think the new club just might work.

Isn't this shop a couple miles east of 75? Also. How far south of 70 is Clark road?

 Clark rd. is 4 exits south of SR70. The meeting place is west of I75.

Likewise Kevin. It was great to meet everyone.There was a decent turn out from the site here but we could definitely use more support.
The people from here that were there was Chillin,mudbuggy,1fasterblaster,Nocturnal,Shulco and seabeejim There were several more people there but I didn't get their screennames.
This seems like the beginning of an atv club that has the potential to be a great thing.Please come out to the meeting next month.

Dang Mike I didn't think you'd forget me that quickly.  Anyway, tonight was a better turn out than I had thought it was going to be.  Thanks to everyone that had to travel from out of town to attend the meeting.  You're support is greatly appreciated!!!  Hope to see everyone at Holopaw for the FTR race in January.  I'm planning on being there.  I might have to miss the trip on the 7th so I can attend.  See everyone next month or on the rides in between.

I knew I was forgetting someone, Sorry darlin.

Enjoyed seeing everyone again. Finally got to meet the MTG Man. Looking forward to riding together, see everyone next month.
