It has been mentioned in another thread that it might be appropriate to add an adult section to the forums. Although I haven't heard much from the mods as of yet, I am for it. I would like to get some feedback (without a poll  ;)) of the consensus view. An adult section would be for 18+ after age verification through credit card, and would (probably) require those participating to either be contributing members or possibly pay for the adult section as it would entail more work for the mods. The benefits are that adults would have a section to themselves. No more childish polls. We would (hopefully) be able to hold more adult discussions. Of course in the site morals there would be no explicit language allowed. I would think a PG-13 type rating would work. The aim would be for more adult, mature topics and interactions. This sections would prevent younger viewers from participating in topics that they probably shouldn't be in and allow more freedom for adults.  No set boundaries have been determined. I for one would like a little more latitude in what we can say/post/joke about as long as it is not a personal attack  or vulgar language. This thread is to see how many members would be interested in such a section for adults, and how many would be willing to contribute to make it possible. Also everyone could suggest what boundaries and rules of conduct they would like. This way if there are enough people interested and willing to contribute, maybe the mods would be up for expanding the site to accomodate us. Here's your chance to voice your opinion, what do you think ?

You can start a forum and pay to get in. we can name it (short bus)  ;)

I can see where the 18+ label would be problematic. Any chance of a senior members section or something that would allow a little more latitude (not asking for very much but a litte) that wouldn't present a liability issue? Maybe a "controversial topic" section for things like politics etc ? Even with similar rules of conduct but just a section to seperate it so that people know what they are going to see before they go in and get their panties in a wad ? ;)

Seriously though the sections we have limit our ability to communicate as adults.

Mike how about it (start a forum for senior member) name it short bus... we pay  ;)

personaly im all for a adult section or something of that nature,I've seen more than one of the threads we was all joking around in get deleted because of some finding it offensive and it was all in fun,but i also have seen many threads go untouched like most the politic threads that end up in personal attact fest  but  they stay?? i find them threads more offensive than us in the short bus talking about each others short comings...

I am with everyone on this. We need an "adult" section. I dont want to see porn or that kinda stuff in there just some adult conversation. The kids on here cant figure out that its just talk and conversation and no need to take it personally and every time we get a good thread going it gets deleted. Please Mr. Bones, we are willing to pay for it.

why not just have our "funny post" in the members area.. it would weed out alot of the lil ones... where is that big head quad32 at..? he must be pulling his weed... hes a landscaper you know..

Ya, that sounds good to me. Gives me a forum to vent my anger, rage, and sheer hatred towards low life, bottom feeding, pieces of rat fecale people that deserve to have their face cut off by a dull butter knife. Whew, that felt a little better.  >:(

No one should be able to vote one way or the other if they aren't old enough to access it. It's over your head and doesn't concern you so leave it alone.

ALL WELL HAVE TODO IS SWITCH OUR AGE THING LOL

Even if a kid got in it would  be by defying the measures to keep them out. By requiring a CC for verification it should stop 99% of them. And even if 1% got in it would be no more than say a PG-13 rating. It's not like it would harm them to get in, but it would help protect them by having such an adult designated section. If nothing else it would reduce conflict.frustration by seperating possibly controversial subbject matter (eg polotics) from the general discussion forum.
