I hereby demand that you all smite me! >:( I love the controversial debates and don't need anyone to pat me on the back for confidence. I thoroughly enjoy participating in discussions/debates on this site, and like all the members I have personally met. I like to think I'll like the ones I'll meet in the future as well. But I'm sure I've stepped on a few toes out there since I'm not one to pull any punches. I'm not kissing any butts to get "karma points" on a subjective arbitrary system. It's nothing more than an anonymous popularity contest based on internet interactions. Those of you that I like know it, and if I don't like you I'm sure you guys know that too. But I'm not going to hide behind an anonymous system and snipe anyone or kiss their butt on the same anonymous system. I believe if you have something to say you should say it and own it. Accept responsibility for your actions and words. But since this karma system is in place I have one thing more to say.......
Let it be known to all that wish to participate in karma points that I refuse. And not only do I abstain from issuing any such points I invite your rath upon myself........If I haven't offended you yet, don't worry you're probably next in line.........Now smite me for all your worth atvflorida, do your worst ! >:D

I am from Fl. we have hard time with

just look below someone's sign on where they have posted  there's a spot for smite or applaud and click away. Let the smiting begin !!

It was started as a joke. The difference is that when I sart a thread it goes several pages no matter what the subject.  That in itself says something.

I hereby concede  :'( Raptor700r has managed to kick my butt in negative karma points. My attempt to buck the system and win in reverse has failed. That's ok though I was just gonna wait until my negative karma was up there and point out that by asking for negative karma and you all helping that you were doing what I wanted - which defeats the whole negative karma concept since you would have been helping me - which goes against the whole karma deal ;)

I like to think it's in fun , not "picked on". most of the guys that go back and forth with me on the b.s. posts are people I like.  If someone else doesn't like humor that's their problem. So with that in mind I'd be closer to most liked than most hated. At least that's how I see it  ;) ;D

It's tripled inm size from a year ago. When the site was smaller we all new each other, hung out with each and so forth. We still do, It's just that there is almost 4000 members here. When there's that many people there is bound to be arguments. Just my .02

There are bound to be disagreements, but in my opinion the karma thing will do nothing to discourage or encourage them. If it's for fun it's one thing, but as a weak method of coercion to control what people will and won't post is only going to stifle the good discussions. Again it's my opinion.

Ok, The only way that the board is set up to allow members to post Karma is by number of posts. A couple of members complained so we are lowering the setting from 400 to 250. Thats the best that we can do.

still is as far as I know, I still got my gang I hang with and ride with when I can,,,,,in fact, it wasn't long ago that I blew a head gasket very shortly after pulling my quad off the trailer next to the Grizzmobile during a trash pickup ride at Rodman.

and I'm 9 days and counting from getting together with some of the best people I know from this site thanks to them and many other of the best people I know from the site to go ride together for a long weekend of riding in Georgia.

i dont think it was a bad idea. i think some of us need to grow up a little. ;D

It doesn't bother me at all. I've joked back and forth with it and could care less. But when you have something that threatens to harm the site community, yet brings no apparent gains, then it doesn't make sense to have it.

Amen to that! Lol ;D  I think that for the few who enjoy it, there are always going to be some that get offended. And if it brings this much controversy than maybe we should keep it?
